Since Godsbanen moved into the premises of the old railway goods yard in Aarhus in 2012, the production centre has been an important cultural focal point in the City of Smiles. At the workshops, you can let all your creative juices run free and get expert help from the staff on anything under the sun – if you have a good idea or a project in the back of your mind, this is the place where you can make it a reality.
Apart from the workshops, you can find a large number of exciting exhibitions, markets and lectures in the rustic premises. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch made from local ingredients at the restaurant Spiselauget, and you can even take a stroll on the roof!

Highlights of the Cultural Production Center Godsbanen
The main reason that the people of Aarhus come to Godsbanen is to experience the numerous creative workshops. Here, work is carried out with everything from metal and wood to computer graphics and serigraphy. Book an appointment at Formværkstedet, where you can work clay like a champion, or make your own jewellery at Smykkeværkstedet – which is the perfect idea for a gift.
Godsbanen is also known for its special architecture – notably its tilted roof, where you can sit and get some sun while enjoying the view. Finally, you can also check the calendar for exciting cultural events, which include everything from concerts to plays.
