Jungceylon is a wonderful destination for both shopping and dining. Around the areas known as the Port Square, Silang Boulevard and Sino Phuket Zone, you’ll find rows of restaurants, bars and coffee shops serving Thai, European, Korean, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Like a large courtyard, the Sino Phuket Zone is an ‘open-air’ setup (it’s actually covered but the roof is so high up, you won’t notice it.)
Most venues along this strip provide not only indoors but also ‘outdoors’ seating, making it the perfect place to experience good food or to just hang out and people watch all year round, come rain or shine. Below are some top picks for places to eat in Jungceylon.

Churrasco Phuket Steakhouse
- Food
Churrasco Phuket Steakhouse presents Gaucho burger sets while South American tunes tumble out of their sound systems. The décor of this restaurant is quite tasteful with an alfresco setup as well as an open-sided fan-cooled interior.
Gaucho burgers aside, you can enjoy a lomo, Angus, and a top flank steak here and order quite a few genuine articles such as chorizo and yerba mate S.A. tea as well as Chilean and Argentinean wines from the Spanish-English menu.

Full Moon Brewworks

Full Moon Brewworks is a microbrewery and restaurant that doesn’t just offer home-brewed ales. It also features imported English Coopers pale ale, stout, sparkling ale, Belgium favourites such as Duval and Westmalle and a rather pricey champagne ale (‘for those special occasions’).

Irish Times Pub

Irish Times is not only one of the biggest, but one of the best-looking establishments in Jungceylon. It’s kind of hard to miss because of the striking Irish green exterior and the wood-and-brick arrangement inside. The food selection includes European pub food as well as Thai and seafood.
The all-day Irish breakfast is quite good value with 2 eggs, sausages, bacon, black-and-white pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, toast, butter, a pot of tea or coffee and juice. The Irish Times has regular live music and friendly service.

Urban Food
- Food
Urban Food has branches in Bangkok and a sister restaurant in Central Festival. It has ambitions to be a chain but is still keeping things personal, and that’s good.
Food served here is generally meat-based with pies, steaks, skewers, pizzas, tagliatelle, spaghetti, ravioli and a whole raft of Thai dishes. All the same, Urban is not afraid of processed food and things could be a bit more organic.
