We didn't like the fact that there was no internet and no TV even though you advertised it of having both of these services

Excellent transportation links to central Prague (just a few metres from tram and train stops), close to an ATM and a Tesco Express for basic needs. Carpet had stains on, curtains were thin and white, meaning you had to change in the bathroom if you needed privacy. Plug sockets temperamental, television signal bad. Disappointed that the bedsheets were not changed when requested a room clean. The sheets themselves smelt musty and old. Hotel staff were polite.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
The hotel room was okay, the day we arrived it was clean, but there was something in the corners of the wall which looked like mold. The room was not cleaned during our 3 night stay, even though we put the sign on the door which informed the staff our room needed to be cleaned. This meant no new towels and no clean room. The hotel room also looked old, the tv did not work even though the hotel adverts with it. The shower contained some hairs even though the room was cleaned before we got there. The breakfast was just good. Nothing special, but good. However, what we found strange was the fact that at 10AM (breakfast was till 10) the lights were switched off precisely on the minute and guests were expected to leave immediately even if they still had some coffee or something else. The distance from the hotel to the city was duable, especially because there was a good connection with public transport. All in all, we had expected more from this hotel, especially because it was rated as a four star hotel.

The staff was very polite and have done almost everything to satisfy my requests. If you need a hotel at a reasonable price and not that far from the centre- this is your hotel. The bed was very comfy.

For those who may be attending tradeshows, Hotel Vitkov is on a bus line that goes straight to the location where tradeshows are often held. It is also on a tram line that goes straight to Mustek. The hotel is roughly in the middle: 25 minutes to a tradeshow/event at PVA, and about the same to the old city. For ME (personally), I enjoy having a comfortable seat at a desk to do work. Although this was not present, I DO NOT BLAME the hotel for this. I was travellng on a budget, and I knew that I would have to make some concessions. It seems that some people gave bad reviews of this hotel. I personally dd not experience anything 'bad' enough to turn me away. If I am on a budget, the next time I travel to PRG, I would consider staying here again. There is a TESCO food store across the street and there is at least one Asian food place close too. I felt quite satisfied with my stay there, which was five nights.

Good location, near to trams and busses with easy access to city center and main train station. Pathetic customer service. Room was not clean, carpet full of stains, curtains and walls were very dirty.

Great location far from tourist traps yet very convenient!! Two tram stations around the hotel that can take you anywhere is max 15 mins. Very safe neighborhood where you can find everything around especially restaurants with typical czech food!! But the room’s equipment are very old and even if you ask for a double bed you get one big bed with 2 matresses

Price is low, but condition of property is merely decent. Iron and ironing board are in special room. No A/c when actually hot, so must leave the windows open and lights off, otherwise bugs get in. Also, extremely loud with windows open; when closed ok.

It was a fairly comfortable and affordable place to lay down for the night during a stay in Prague. It was a little run down, but not a big deal. The turn off was the receptionists handling of an issue I had with my reservation. I made an unfortunate mistake that resulted in my reservation being voided here. That was totally my fault. That said, I was worried I would not be able to stay in the same hotel as my travel party, so I was inquiring the availability at the hotel for another reservation. She said there were no more rooms. I went back onto orbitz to search other hotels and found this hotel with 5 rooms available. I booked it just verifying with the receptionist that I would be accommodated if I made that reservation. She said yes. Check in time arrived and I went back up to the desk. She was finishing checking in another customer, then went back to doing other things. After she organized a few things, she looks at me and asks me in an almost sarcastic tone “can I help you”?. Keep in mind, my purpose for standing there was exceedingly apparent at this point. I checked in uneventfully from that point. However, I will not be going back. The hotel honestly was not bad at all aside from that.
