We arrived early and were accommodated with an early check-in, which was great.
The bathroom wasn’t as clean as we’d like to be comfortable (there were smears on the door and a rim of dirt at the base of the toilet).
The pullout couch needed to be made up (typical of this type of hotel). The mattress cover on the pullout mattress had a large light yellow stain at the foot of the bed.
There was a hockey team staying at the same time and the noise was disturbing past 11pm and intermittently throughout the night. We could hear everything through the walls and floors.
On the second day of our stay, we didn’t return to the hotel until evening. Our beds hadn’t been made (we had left a note and $ to change the linens on the pullout). When I called down to inquire, I was told that staff only makes the beds of a card is left on the bed (but there wasn’t a card available in our room). I was also told the bathroom would have been cleaned as per their regular service. They had left new towels but no facecloths, no soap, shampoo or conditioner. And they had removed the soap, shampoo and conditioner that we hadn’t used.
When the front desk delivered clean sheets (for me to change) and toiletries, they forgot the conditioner. It wasn’t worth calling down again after so many complaints.
The breakfast was limited and they had mostly run out of food when we went for breakfast at 8am. Disappointing overall for the price paid.
