No breakfast as advertised
It was clean and comfortable. We didn't get a breakfast as stated when booked. That was a main reason for staying as to avoid going to a restaurant elsewhere in the morning.

4/10 Fair

Though the bed was clean and comfortable, and other guests very quiet, traffic.started about 6 am with trucks that rumbled the room. The room was only cleaned once and vacuumed twice in six days. We ran out of soap and were without a bath mat for several days. It's run down and the continental breakfast very disappointing (bagels, cream cheese, butter, oatmeal, and coffee available). It's inconvenient to get into as you have to travel through the grocery store parking lot across the hwy to face the right direction to enter the lot. After booking it, my student told me the largest encampment of homeless is about two blocks away. There are reputable businesses in the area and we had no issues with parking or security. However, it is a difficult part of town to navigate. Very basic motel.

2/10 Poor

There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling, the toilet seat had something “spilled” all over it, the curtains were torn off the curtain rod, the electrical outlets were rusty, the carpet was sticky….we complained because we were paying $180/night!! We were “upgraded” to a different room which was cleaner but still shabby. The following morning when we went to check out one of the staff was telling the desk person how people had complained about their room(ours) & how dirty it was & that she checked it & it wasn’t bad at all! I think the Ithaca health department & fire marshal need to inspect this property because it is neither clean nor safe.

2/10 Poor

TV didn’t work. Room phone was dead. I called from my cell phone to ask TV be fixed. Got voicemail and left message. Never got a response. I had arthritis pain in my knee and didn’t want to walk back to front desk due to that pain. I called Expedia to see if they could intercede. Expedia representative was able to reach the front desk at the hotel. However, he informed me that the woman at the front desk was nasty, she yelled at him for requesting that they fix the TV. Then she hung up on him. The front desk never sent anyone to the room to fix the TV and I was unable to watch the TV. Expedia requested a refund or discount on my behalf due to this unfortunate incident. Management refused any discount or refund. It’s one thing for an overnight desk clerk to have a bad day and refuse service to a paying customer while behaving in a nasty manner to the Expedia representative. But for management to acquiesce in this behavior and not try to make things right is beyond the pale.
