There are many different choices of onsens in the ryokan. The staff are excellent as well, their english proficiency is one of the best I’ve seen as well. Although there were some incidents at the start when we check in, the staffs are very efficient at dealing with it. Overall I’ll recommend anyone who visits Kurokawa onsen to give this ryokan a try

車で行きました。出迎えてくれた方はとても好感が持てる方でした。 チェックインの時に浴衣を借りようとしましたが上から着る羽織はないと言われ外が浴衣1枚では肌寒いので浴衣は諦めました。 そのまま荷物を預けて湯巡りをし ホテルで食事をする際に羽織を着てる方が沢山いらっしゃり レストランの方に尋ねたら、私は分からないと言われました。 部屋に戻りクローゼット(押し入れ？)を開けたら 羽織がありました。 なんかモヤモヤしました。 それ以外はお風呂も部屋も綺麗で良かったです♡

The hotel had multiple onsen each of different style. Very enjoyable. The view from the room faced forestry, which would be beautiful in autumn when the leaves turned red. The sound on rushing water from the rapids nearby gave a soothing feeling. The service staff coordination was great too, when you arrive or checked out, they will ask for your name or room number, then inform recep or the car assistant to prepare your keys. Things which were not great 1/ food at the buffet was often cold or like warm,other than soup. 2/ would have been nicer if it were kaiseki
