We booked this place just to spend the night and continue our journey to Madrid the next morning. Positive: The bed was comfortable, the price was reasonable compared to Barcelona’s overpriced hotels and they have complementary coffee for all guests. Negative: This hotel location is not ideal as it was hard to find a restaurant for dinner that night within walking distance. The bed sheets smelled clean but the bathroom floor didn’t look clean, I am not sure if it was a stain on the floor or was just dirty but it didn’t look right. The main door for my room (329) was really hard to open and close, it looks like there was a flooding at some point and the floor by the entrance was raised so the door was really stuck, the hotel was aware of the situation so I am not sure why they thought it was ok to advertise this room as a Superior room, this was not even the cheapest option available. I don’t want to imagine what the option below would look like.

The hotel has comfortable rooms, and is in a good location for Mataró, and is an easy commute to Barcelona. The budget aspects of the hotel are a little annoying, for example no kettles in the room, so if you want a coffee you have to go to the reception, but otherwise it is very good for the price.

The room was fine and extremely clean. The lobby was accommodating but not welcoming. The room was functional, but very baron and cold. There's only one chair even though there were two of us. Everything was extremely minimalistic. Couldn't even give us a second trashcan in the desk area. It functioned for our needs, but I would never consider this again. It says, lacking and charm as the overall town is.

The team were very helpful, with good advice and tips for local area. not a lot in area for dining, but supermarket next door and hotel has microwave for customer use, free tea coffee hot chocolate, water and milk. cleaning staff did a lovely job and when i reported a minor leak, 20 mins later that had sorted it out. very close to beach, away form Barcelona centre, so beach to ourselves. old town was very quaint, full of history. i meant to book closer to Barcelona, glad i didn't, lovley find.

We found Mataro to be a great place from which to come and go to Barcelona a this hotel was an easy place to stay. Just a walk along the waterfront to get to the train! The rooms are pretty basic but clean and adequate. The breakfast is good. Staff were lovely and helpful.
