Great location
This is an historic cottage so I wasn't sure how luxurious it would be...it wasn't. However, the bed was comfortable and the room more than adequate. We were a short walk to the Mammoth Cave visitor center so that was perfect.

Don’t let “dated” fool you!
The room was delightfully dated in extraordinary beautiful condition. It was like walking into my childhood family trip. I loved it!
Sure it was dated. But it was fabulous! Clean and in perfect condition.

Road Trip to Mammoth Caves
Great time at the lodge. It doesn't get any closer to the park than being a 2 minute walk to the Visitor's Center. Toilet could use an update but other than that, rooms have everything your need and are roomy. Would Definitely stay there again if visiting the park!

“Glamping” with the Ladybugs
We stayed in one of the historic cottages. It had a particular rustic charm to it with a spacious room, no TV, hard wood floors and a comfy bed. It was quiet and peaceful. It also was the time of year when the bugs are waking up so we had dozens and dozens of ladybugs in our room. If they had been any other bug I would have complained but it was a dark stormy night and the lights on the path to the main lodge were out so we just learned to appreciate each other.
Our little ladybug friends
I should have enough good luck for the year after our evening together

We stayed in the Lodge, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful.

We visited Mammoth Cave and it was incredibly convenient to stay at the Lodge. The rooms are motel style not hotel style and the bathrooms are dated. But the rooms were very clean, the area is beautiful and the location is ideas for a visit to the caves.

Rooms were sufficient for a one night stay. Our only complaint was the hot water didn’t last very long for showers - maybe five minutes!

That’s are historical cabins on Mammoth Cave National Park. Comfortable beds no TV which made the cabin perfect. Great stay. Deer were There to greet us.

It was great! Our boys loved it. We got Mexican and ate in the room, we had lots of space, could easily walk to trails and the visitor center. I loved it! It felt like going away to camp.

decent cabin, staff were really friendly and communicative. The parking was easy, though I wish it had been a bit easier to navigate in and out of the area I was staying in. Quite far from civilization so, if like me, you have food restrictions, make sure to buy food at a grocery store before coming here. Do not expect any kind of cooking facilities, which is noted on the website, but was not available for my room.
Shruti, 3-night trip

Wonderful area! The cabins are older, but well maintained. If you don’t like insects, you might choose a different place to stay. Our room had stink bugs, wasp, ladybugs and flies.
Rita, 1-night trip

Beautiful cabin for 2 people! Tue heritage cottages are perfect!! And we didn’t even kind no service or tv!!
Kari, 3-night trip

The Lodge location, very nearby the visitor center of Mammoth Cave National Park, is the primary appeal of this property. It is a “Lodge” as opposed to a motel/hotel so expectations should be managed accordingly. Everything was clean and in good order…

Robert, 1-night trip

The Lodge is in a beautiful area, close to the Visitor's Center where the cave tours start. The Sunset Terrace room was quiet and comfortable. Trails were just a few steps away. We stayed in early November, and the only downside was that dining options in the park closed at 5 PM that late in the season. We did find restaurants in Cave City, though. Overall, a fun, relaxing stay.
Susan, 3-night trip

Only problem was the walk to cottage from parking lot was a little to far.

We stayed at the Terrace Lodge, like we did exactly 50-yrs ago on our honeymoon. The Terrace was exactly as it was 50-yrs ago. While some areas and other buildings have changed, the Park is much like it has been since my first (1st) visit in 1964.
