Grand Hotel Kalamata
"Great location nice bedding clean and nice staff. Parking close was made available to us. there is an odd smell coming out of the shower which can happen in older towns and the rain head was not functional only the hand held in the shower It is higher end of prices for the area so regular maintenance important - we gave the hotel permission for them to enter room and repair but received no folllow up on whether they tried or not and it wasn’t repaired by the next morning so that was disappointing especially at the price for the room"

"Nice place , walkable to Plaka . Excellent breakfast . Nice staff"
IRA-HPA Hotel
"I stayed at the IRAHPA Hotel in central Kalamata and found it a comfortable, straightforward place to stay. The location is excellent, the hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is simple but functional and suited for one or two people. The bed was comfortable, there was space for my things, and it stayed quiet. My view was mostly the wall of another building. Breakfast was nice, with some Greek options and a pleasant seating area by the windows. The breakfast hostess, a delightful lady from Montreal, was warm and gracious. A couple of quirks: as is typical in this part of Greece, toilet paper and sanitary items cannot go in the toilet—they go in a small bin nearby. Some design choices felt awkward, such as the hairdryer plugged into an outlet right above the hand-soap dispenser, making the soap hard to use. The hotel provided complementary water plus a welcome gift of wine and local snacks. At checkout they kindly stored my bag for several hours while I explored the city.Overall, IRAHPA isn’t flashy or especially impressive, but it’s clean, comfortable, well-located, and the staff are genuinely helpful. A reliable, simple base with a good breakfast."
Elite City Resort
"Very clean rooms and attentive staff"
Messinian Icon
"My stay at this impressive luxury hotel was truly exceptional. The room was beautifully appointed, and the luxurious mattress made for the best, most restorative sleep. Stepping out onto the terrace balcony was a daily joy — it overlooked the sparkling pools and, further out, the line of gleaming yachts resting in Kalamata Bay. It felt like a private postcard view. The bathroom was stocked with high‑quality toiletries, a small detail that added to the overall sense of comfort and care. On days when the heat made outdoor exercise impossible, the hotel’s well‑equipped gym was perfect. Afterwards, I indulged in some pampering at the spa, which was the ideal way to unwind. Every part of my stay felt thoughtful, relaxing, and wonderfully refined. A truly memorable experience."
Horizon Blu Boutique Hotel
"Great location, beautiful view of the bay, excellent amenities. But, the hotel rooms smell a little musty, and the beach area with the umbrellas and the long chairs needs to be cleaned daily and some work to make it more appealing to the eye. From the beach, if you look up towards the hotel, you see the rusty metal supporting the walkway above, the stairs to the beach need work, and the shower is partially broken and almost collapsing."
Akti Taygetos Conference Resort
"Lovely pool and beach complex over the road from the car park, water so clear to snorkel in. There were facilities pool side to change if going to airport, but no extractor fans in any of the bathrooms which would be my only moan, they got very hot! There's no gym yet, but it could be a nice addition and hotel is away from the busyness of Kalamata. Just a shame that the airport is so old and dilapidated, it puts you off returning to the area, as it's grotty and the lack of facilities are really poor in 2026 from no cafes, to running water and soap in the ladies toilets. Maybe the hotel can raise this with the authorities as I wouldn't return based on the delays and service."
Panellinion Luxury Rooms
"The hotel room had a nice view and was great for a weekend. The room was a bit small for 2 people. Also, there was parking, but it could be used by others for the adjacent playground, so parking was tough during the later hours. Overall, great place by the sea in the areas near shopping and restaurants."
Hotel Ostria
"Excellent location across the a street from a beach and centrally located in the downtown core."
