Nice B&B with lots of charm. Close to Palermo airport on other side of Palermo--decent area to walk around--close to sea. room was spacious, clean but some things need updating: AC was not great (but proprietor did try to get it to blow cold air--worked..sorta), shower-no hot water, no screens on window so you can leave them open without bugs. As I am reading this so far it sounds bad but it was quite good for the area and we enjoyed the street food scene that appeared magically after about 6:30pm. It was a good layover for flying out the next morning. We left early before anyone was available to make breakfast but there were pastry and coffee available for us. If you enjoy trying out B&Bs you should consider this one.

Casa Manzella was a nice B&B conveniently located right down the street from the main square. The town square is lovely with lots of restaurants and shops. The B&B was very comfortable, clean and breakfast was good with fresh croissants, fruit, yogurt, cheese and salami and pastries. The owner and staff was very nice. The only issue for us was no elevator in the building to bring bags down when we had to leave at 7am. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

There is no front desk for check-in as stated in the listing, so we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive to the property. Once Pino arrived, he was very welcoming and accommodating. Very clean and friendly B&B. We only stayed one night as we were leaving Sicily the next morning. Very convenient to the airport and the B&B arranged for transport for an extra fee. Two people of our group were leaving very early in the morning so he offered a quick breakfast of coffee, yogurt, and fruit that they could take with them since they would be leaving before the breakfast was available. Nicely located in a cozy square with restaurants and shops nearby, and the room was still quiet as the doors sealed out any outdoor noise.

Good location for going out to eat and drink and for going to the beach Perfectly clean Air conditioning Beautiful terrace on top of the B&B (shared with other guests) Classy interior - Very rushed introduction of the B&B by the owner, basically nothing was explained (such as usage of glasses etc. from the kitchen, see below) - The room had no fridge, no glasses, no kettle, no drying rack. - There is a fridge for common usage in the breakfast room, but when we put water and food there, the next day it was gone (even though we labeled it with our room number). This wouldn't happen with a fridge in the room. - Breakfast room is too small (only 4 tables) and there is only so much space at the buffet for one person at a time. This makes the atmosphere in the breakfast room a little hectic. Breakfast room is also the entrance to the owner's office, so while you are eating people are paying their bills. - No toilet paper fill up, we had to buy toilet paper on our own on the second day - Two dirty towels on the floor were taken away but not replaced at first; only after we put all towels to the floor, we got new ones - Bathroom was too small, there is not even enough space to hang all the towels. /- The breakfast is not international, but Italian/Sicilian, meaning the whole buffet is a only sweets plus one sausage, one cheese and packed bread from a supermarket plus some fruits. That being said, the sweet food was tasty, but a bit more variation would have been nice.
