Antebellum mansions stand frozen in time along streets where Spanish moss dangles from ancient oaks like nature's own decorations. Horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through the historic district, offering tales of pirates and Civil War drama. Kayak through winding tidal creeks where dolphins surface with surprising nonchalance. The Penn Centre on St. Helena Island provides a moving window into Gullah culture and Reconstruction history. Military buffs can't miss Parris Island, where Marines have trained for generations. After exploring Bay Street's shops, watch the sunset paint the water gold from Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. Local restaurants serve shrimp caught that morning, often by the chef's cousin. The pace here moves with the tides – unhurried but inevitable.

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The TV was good quality with a very nice picture and many premium channels. The sink and shower were clean and everything worked well. The area outside was not so clean or picked up. Lots of cigarette butts and unknown liquid on the sidewalk in front of the room. No breakfast available, that I could find."

During this time, visitors can enjoy attractions such as its islands, port, distinctive architecture, historical sites, theatres, live music venues, marina, cathedral, churches, and university, making it an affordable and budget-friendly choice for travellers.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For your trip to Beaufort, you may discover attractive hotel deals by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. - Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. For those in search of distinctive experiences, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised atmosphere and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be pricier; however, with Beaufort's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further afield that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
