Old Hall Hotel
"Beautiful old hotel. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Ideally situated right in the centre."
Palace Hotel & Spa Buxton
"Have stayed at this hotel before ( only overnight stays when attending theatre) and decided to book a slightly upgrade from basic room: very pleased with the decision. Very good breakfast. Reception staff very friendly and efficient as online check in didn't work. Lovely bar and nice outlook over Buxton."
Buxton Crescent
"Our whole experience was wonderful, from check in to drinks in the cocktail bar to dinner and breakfast. Valet parking was a tad expensive but so convenient. We intend to return before Christmas - think it will be lovely."
Rooms at the Vault
"Great room in excellent location."
Best Western Plus Buxton Lee Wood Hotel
"Lovely hotel close to the city centre. Highly recommended"
Biggin Hall Hotel
"Amazing breakfast and packed lunch. Lovely location!"
Compton Guest House
"Nice comfortable clean room. For a shared bathroom it was kept very clean. Easy walk into town & only a 10/15 minute walk from the train station. Great value for money."
Kingscroft
"Wonderful stay and the breakfast is top class."
The Blind Bull
"If you need a couple of nights away in the Peak District, The Blind Bull is a great getaway. Most of the rooms are in a building a mere 25 paces from the door of the bar! For dog owners choose one of the ‘pig’ rooms as there is a little gravel garden. The owners have thoughtfully provided a little bin outside for any bags. We ate both nights at the pub and you can see why the place is highly rated. It is so much more than ‘pub’ food. A lovely crafted menu and a great wine list. Breakfast is excellent with quality over quantity. Top tip is to make a booking for a table as the place gets really busy. All the staff we came across were polite friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Brooke, Jane Bond and David the manager."

Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re promptly informed about any price drops or availability changes, making it easier to secure a last-minute escape.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a more affordable stay in a hotel in Buxton. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Buxton's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money.
