The Beach at Bude
"An amazing hotel. Visited for the first time last year in August and determined to book and visit again this year. The owners have got it just right. There is nothing they have overlooked to provide in your room. Especially in the bathrooms where the convenient hook behind the door is often overlooked and adequate towel drying space. Views across the bay are gorgeous especially in the evening with the sunsets we have been having. Sitting outside with drinks in the evening is wonderful as is the superb food at the Elements restaurant. A great place to start the day too with an amazing breakfast. Much choice and definitely sets you up for the rest of the day. The staff and very helpful and friendly. Ready to make you feel at home. Can't wait to visit again next summer."
The Park Hotel
"10/10 hotel. Nice and clean with great staff. Lovely quiet area with a park opposite which is great for kids. Plus it has free parking!"
The Cedars Inn by Greene King Inns
"Check in was easy, friendly staff, room decor was lovely, clean bedding. Parking was perfect and surroundings are beautiful. Had a beautiful breakfast too. Only negative was quite a few wood louse running round the bathroom, kept slippers on but may put you off if squeamish."
The Royal & Fortescue
"Lovely hotel. In the centre of Barnstaple and plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were on a cycling trip on the Tarka Trail ..hotel has very useful indoor rear area with cycle racks to secure your bike during your stay. Fantastic."
Westbeach Holiday Apartments
"We stayed in the Westbeach apartments for 3 nights during the summer holidays. We had a 3 bed apartment for our family of 4, plus my father in law. The apartment was spacious and really comfortable. Beds were comfy and clean. Kitchen/lounge layout is always a win for us as we love open plan. The balcony from the living room and master bedroom was just lovely. Shower/bathroom was fab with lovely shower. Everything to a fairly high spec. We read the sad story behind the development of the apartments, but amazing that they managed to get them finished! The half finished building next to Westbeach is an absolute eyesore. One night we did see what looked like homeless people sleeping in there, but honestly it didn't bother us and it's no ones fault that it's been left in that state. It took us quite a while to find the apartment! But that's likely more on us and our navigation skills than anyone else's fault! We parked right by the apartment which was hassle free and fine for our tall campervan. We were right in the hustle and bustle of westward ho and it was lovely. Would use the apartments again- they were lovely, thank you :-)"
The Barnstaple Hotel
"The team at the hotel were great and made my kids feel like guests rather than pests. Fab place to stay"
Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club
"I thought the rooms were amazing for the price, the AC was a god send and the pressure in the shower was great. I was extremely happy with the rooms and would gladly visit again. The course was amazing, really well kept and the staff were really polite and friendly. The only gripe that we had is that the time waiting to order and for the food to come wasn’t very good. We ate at Trethorne all three nights and it was the same every night. We even had to approach the bar to order our food on the second night. Larger tables were asked if their food was ok 2 or 3 times but we barely got a look from the waiter/waitresses."
The Tree Inn
"The accommodation was pleasant and very clean.Helpful staff. The menu for food was very limited and a little strange. The bar had run out of red wine"
Croyde Bay Holiday Resort
"A beautifully clean and welcoming hotel on the beach in Croyde. It’s safe, fantastic amenities and there is something for everyone. The staff are extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away."
