Hotel Victoria
"Cool, clean hotel, but extremely small rooms. Excellent breakfast."
Scandic Stavanger City
"I booked this hotel since it said it had parking. I stayed here at the beginning of my trip and I was able to get a spot. But on my return at the end of my trip there was no available parking. I had researched and there was a 24 Hour garage about a 7 minute walk so that was not bad. I felt safe in that garage. Just at the end of the day and $380 a night it would have been great to have parking at the hotel even though you pay separately for it. Staff is great. Very clean hotel. They have a delicious breakfast. The hotel is great. I would stay again. Just be aware though parking can be available you should be prepared to park elsewhere and walk to hotel."
Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel, Stavanger
"Breakfast is excellent!"
Thon Hotel Maritim
"Good and clean, the location is great. Good breakfast. The outside of the main entrance has a metal grid section, it was very slippery when it's wet. I felt on it when I walked in. The hotel needs to improve the condition before it happens to others."
Clarion Hotel Stavanger
"Lovely stay. Centrally located. Delicious and diverse breakfast options. Quiet and clean rooms. Helpful staff."
Home Hotel Skagen Brygge
"The buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing! Great location to walk around the wharf and Old Town. Parking offsite inconvenient."
Clarion Hotel Energy
"The location isn't the best; it's a bit far from the city center. The hotel itself is great clean with nice rooms though the parking situation is inconvenient, as you have to walk about two blocks to leave your car at a nearby arena's lot. The breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. Overall, I’d say the hotel is worth it, and I would stay there again."
Scandic Stavanger Park
"A fantastic hotel which was great value for money."
Comfort Hotel Square
"Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was great. I would have loved to have washcloths, but they only provide hand and bath towels. This hotel is an easy 5 minute walk to the harbor."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Stavanger
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Stavanger is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. To fully immerse yourself in the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows for exploration of key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural attractions. You can enjoy budget-friendly activities such as hiking, sightseeing along the port, and leisurely walks on the sand beach. Additionally, excursions, ferry rides, and visits to local cafes can provide great value for money, making your trip both enjoyable and economical.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals on hotels in Stavanger, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find attractive hotel offers as your travel date approaches. Additionally, activating email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com can keep you informed about flash sales and exclusive last-minute promotions, helping you seize opportunities for savings. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re well-informed. You'll be promptly notified if rooms become available or prices drop, enabling you to secure that spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so flexibility with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Stavanger hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer improved value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Stavanger's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that is still well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
