Crown and Mitre Hotel
"We were put on the 4th floor but the lift only goes to the third,we did try to get our room changed but as they were fully booked were unable to do so, So we actually went back home the following day"
Hetland Hall Hotel
"Great breakfast. Nice staff ."
Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
"Lovely hotel, massive room, excellent friendly staff, the only slight downfall was every time someone was walking along the corridor upstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants was about to come through the ceiling but it wouldn't stop me stating again."
County Hotel
"Shabby but adequate for a couple of nights. Parking was ok for us but it could be a problem if there are a lot of guests. It’s first come, first served for about 25-30 spaces; there are other car parks in the vicinity. We didn’t eat there; it’s very close to the city centre and there is plenty of choice in the area. Room was ok but beds could have been made better as the mattress was visible at the bedhead but it was comfortable and a fan had been provided as it was pretty warm! Certainly worth the money we paid (as cheap as some youth hostels). Floors creak which disturbed us occasionally"
ibis Carlisle – City Centre
"Rooms were good, clean and big enough for a budget hotel. Hotel lobby is a little dated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast because we needed to leave early, so cannot comment on its quality."
Mary Mount Hotel
"The food was delicious , the staff were accommodating and the scenes were stunning. The room we had 39 was a little tired and needed a lick of paint on the walls as there were some patchy paint bits."
Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
"Beautiful hotel in a great location at the top of the town. Pool and spa facilities were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend."
North Lakes Hotel And Spa
"Customer service in the restaurant was amazing lots of different selections off food to choose from. Spa was lovely shame robes weren’t available In the room though. £1 coin needed for the lockers which I hadn’t realised. The rooms are very clean the bed was so comfy great nights sleep "
The Golf Hotel
"Nice location very friendly staff, nice food and decent breakfast."

This way, you're more likely to seize opportunities for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a Wigton hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised experience and sometimes even better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below average. Should the price seem higher, we may suggest more affordable dates, which could help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Remaining closer to main attractions or city centres can offer convenience, yet usually tends to be more expensive. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing cost against ease of access to the sites you plan to visit. You might also explore independent hotels further out, which can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
