The very warm welcome we received from the gentleman at the reception, Jean-Yves. We have stayed in many hotels and haven't felt so welcome in a very long time. It was most appreciated, especially after a 8 hours drive.

Very good village location
a stop over to visit the vineyards in the local area, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

In the heart of the vineyards
On the Rue des Grands Vins, it is great to sit sipping wine overlooking the vines of Le Chateau Vougeot. You may not be able to afford that wine, but your host produces a good local pinot noir at a much more acceptable price point.

Tons of charm + location
Superb hotel, very charming. Staff top notch - very professional yet friendly. Room very nice. Comfortable bed, nice shower, has tons old world charm. Location is great if you want to be out in the countryside/ vineyards yet have a great bakery down the street. Only caution is steep set of steps getting luggage up to our room - I managed fine but could see some having trouble with that.

We could not have asked for a better experience or better lodging. We loved the historic, comfortable hotel and the community. Also we were in easy driving distance to both Dijon and Beaune which are outstanding to visit. Alain is a terrific host and helped put us onto rides in the area that were fun and beautiful.

Lovely hotel in the vineyards
We arrived early--around 2 p.m. and there was no one there. I called the number given and spoke to the proprietor who said he would come, although check-in was normally not until 3 o'clock. He did say that our room was ready and the key was inside, but the hotel was locked and we couldn't access it (until later when we found out it was in another building which was unlocked!) Once he arrived he was very pleasant, the room lovely with a view of the vineyards and breakfast quite good and reasonable. Parking (enclosed) can fill up late at night. There is no elevator and we were on the second (American 3rd) floor. We would return if in the area.

Tranquil village surrounded by vineyads
A lovely little village set in the wine growing area. 150 meters down the road is a lovely little restaurant (note no one speaks english). One disappointing thing was the lack of enthusiasm from the owner selling wine in the tasting room attached to the hotel. We went there to sample and but we're put off so went elsewhere. Overall a wonderful spot to relax.

Vineyard Hideaway
My Partner and I were on a 5 day road trip around France and found Hotel De Vougeot via Hotels.com. We applied for a room and were confirmed within minutes. Upon arrival at Hotel De Vougeot, we were warmly greeted and advised that although we had booked a room, as they had no more of this type, they would upgrade us free of charge. We were asked if we had eaten and advised to go to a restaurant just down the road. The receptionist, called in advance to confirm our booking which again was a nice touch. The service at breakfast was by the homeowner and we plentiful. There was ample fresh breads, meats, fruits, eggs and pastries alike. After breakfast, we decided to walk to 'The Vineyards of the Clos de Vougeot'. We walked through the vinyards and at arrived at the Château. We had self guided tour for €7 each (approx.) All in all, this hotel and village is a wonderful hideaway and we would definitely recommend staying here is you are passing through or would like to get away from it all. We will be returning for sure.

6/10 Good

We have stayed here previously with a room overlooking the vines at gthe rear of the hotel, and very pleasant it was. This time we were given a room in the courtyard - noisy all night with an industrial fan blowing every 2 minutes made sleep v difficult.

Lovely hotel in good locationin heart of Burgundy
Would have preferred a courtyard room but the room above reception area was quiet, clean and would have been comfortable if it wasn't for the heatwave during our stay. Very hot room with only a noisy electric fan to move the stifling air. But staff were excellent, as was the breakfast. Would definitely stay again as it is a hotel full of French character and not part of an inpersonal chain.

A nice hotel in a good location
Beautiful hotel right next to the castle Clos de Vougeot. We got all the information we needed about what to do and see in the area. The room was clean and tidy, absolutely beautiful.

Hotel Vougeout
Beautiful property and simple rooms made for a nice place to stay while exploring Cotes de Nuit wine area. My room (#10) was very large but it only had one tiny attic window. It was dark and the air circulation was not good. The other rooms at the property looked much more pleasant.

This is great for a stay in the vineyards, and only 15 minutes to Beaune. Clean, convenient, and charming place.
