Highly overrated and extremely overpriced
This hotel left much to be desired. There was no Internet available in the rooms, after three days we still cannot figure out how to regulate between hot and cold water in the shower or the sink. I asked for coffee for the room since there was a coffee pot Lebanon was available.It seemed quite sketchy because of the area and number of sex workers walking around outside of the hotel. There were hotels down most of the time and they were friendly. For $100 a night in this town, it was much less than a bargain!

Not as nice as pictured
Seems the hotel did not upkeep (maintenance wise) during covid. Pools were green of algae. Jacuzzi did not work. Grounds not well kept; They seemed to try to "spruce it up" for the weekend, where I guess a few more guests checked-in.

Last 2 days there was no water to take shower or in toilets. Though the staff was busy fixing the issue and it got fixed the 2nd day late afternoon. I woke up at night and saw large cockroach in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly, polite and provided good service.

Great stay at the Copa
Fantastic stay at the Copa! Staff is the most friendly and helpful in all of Jaco. The hotel is on the rebound from covid and there were many guests to mingle with. Especially over the weekend. The hotel could use some maintenance and updating. However, it was comfortable overall.

If you’re looking “adults only adventures”, it could be your place; it was not our case. Big mistake: we didn’t check reviews and hotel rating. The inconveniences were overcome by the friendliness of their staff and management.

It’s location, near the beach, restaurants, etc. was great. But, it still felt private enough to take advantage of the clothing optional situation. (Our first time) Breakfast was great. It has not been recently remodeled, as mentioned in many reviews, and is not immaculate. But over-all, we were comfortable, thought the price was fine, and even stayed a second night. We stayed mid-week, so it was very quiet, seeing only a couple of other guests.
