easyhotel Oxford
"This is a basic hotel. It's clean, which is always appreciated, but if you want your room cleaned during your stay, there's an upcharge. The rooms are extremely tight. I booked two twins so that I would have some place to open my luggage. There are no closets and there isn't a safe. Coffee/tea are available for a fee. The bed was comfortable. The staff was present, but not proactive. This is the best of no-frills. All of that being said, it's a great location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It's about a 15-20 minute ride into Oxford Center and the bus stop is just a short 3 minute walk away. With frequent buses and a daily bus pass, it's a much more affordable option than staying in Oxford proper."
Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa
"The staff were very helpful, the spa was lovely! The hotel and grounds are very nice, albeit looking a bit tired. Breakfast could be better as it felt slightly chaotic as alot of the items kept finishing and people had to ask for it to be replenished. I had an amazing time though and will probably go again ."
voco Oxford Spires by IHG
"Food was very good. Enjoyed breakfast daily as well as a dinner or two. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Appreciated little extras such as in room tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies."
pentahotel Reading
"Lovely place to have as a base for a university reunion - great bar to come back to after dining out, excellent value for money, able to check in on Saturday early, and they automatically have late check out on a Sunday till 3pm. Message them in advance for the discount code for 40% off at the Q-Park 5 mins walk away."
Ramada by Wyndham Oxford
"Lovely place to stay, handy for Oxford amd beyond, lovely room, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast. Job's a good 'un"
Novotel Reading Centre
"Amazing location, nice bar, amazing pool"
ibis Reading Centre
"Amazingly quick check in, friendly staff. Just 5 mins walk from Reading rail station."
Sure Hotel by Best Western Reading
"Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the fridge and microwave availability. My only comment is there was no interior latch on the ground floor window which I would have preferred. But the location was convenient to Reading's main areas."

During this time, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions including small-town charm, walking tours, visits to museums, local bars, and theatres, making the trip an attractive option for those seeking a budget-friendly getaway.

Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you'll be among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available, making your last-minute getaway easier to book.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Didcot hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and may sometimes offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience but often entails higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which can offer a more authentic and generally more affordable experience.
