CYBO Junting Shangpin Hotel (Chengdu Chunxi Road Tianfu Square Branch)
"We have visited Tokyo and Osaka and Beijing before visiting Chengdu. In Japan our hotel was about 400+ USD per night. Including the 2 years old Osaka station Marriot 5 star. Trust me, you won't regret. this hotel room won't lose even comparing to Osaka Marriot, considering it's price. What a steal! Nice room. Advanced and intelligent new features like smat home etc. Thank you all the staff. I will book again in Chengdu for sure!"
SSAW Garden Hotel Chengdu - Chunxi Road Taikoo Li Branch
"The location is fantastic. It’s within walking distance to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, surrounded by local restaurants and snacks. Our room was spacious and tidy with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a nice city view. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom featured dry and wet separation. The staff at reception are friendly and check-in was smooth. There are plenty of amenities: daily breakfast, fitness center, self-service laundry room. A kids’ playground is available, making it ideal for family travellers. We would love to stay again on our next trip in Chengdu!"

Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu
"Fantastic for family staym the pool is so clean. Very spacious! We would love to come back bc we didn't try the breakfast"
Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Center by IHG
"One word to sum up my impression of this establishment - OLD…! Yep, for a Crowne Plaza it’s screaming in need of a major renovation, probably the most rundown IHG property I’ve ever experienced… Overall, room is spacious, hotel scale is grand, its location is centralized although walk to metro station is not most ideal when it rains… But condition is definitely dated and deteriorating, carpet is stained and musty, fixtures are rusty and loose or falling apart. Alas the overwhelming perfume smell that envelopes the lobby when you enter the hotel… Too strong I feel, smell like some strangely pungent floral perfume scent, as if to mask off the aging property. Lastly seems like I’ve no luck with swimming pools this year… My first time back in China after more than 20 years, indoor pool at B2, gentle reminder for foreigners like me it’s mandatory to wear swim cap at public pools in China."
The St. Regis Chengdu
"Property was excellent with exceptional service. Breakfast caters for all palates. Staff are extremely efficient and attentive. I would recommend this hotel for everyone."
Waldorf Astoria Chengdu
"Great room and breakfast"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Chengdu
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Chengdu on a budget is particularly appealing during January, February, and September when hotel prices may drop to offer lower prices. For those keen to explore key landmarks, history, and cultural sites such as temples, museums, and monuments, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This duration provides ample time to visit historical tours, enjoy budget-friendly sightseeing, and experience a great value for money trip to this affordable destination.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a trip to Chengdu, you may discover great hotel deals by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. For travellers seeking last-minute savings, the Last-Minute Deals area could offer discounted rates near your travel date. You’re more likely to see flash sales by enabling email alerts or push notifications, ensuring you remain updated about price drops. Additionally, use the Smart Shopping tool available via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you secure the best option for your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may assist you in finding a more favourable rate for your stay in a Chengdu hotel. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and might offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price lean towards the higher end, we can suggest alternative dates that could offer a more economical option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but with Chengdu's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
