Gorgeous property! We only stayed one night before our cruise, but wish to have been able to stay longer. Richard welcomed us and showed us the house and our room. Beautiful and well maintained. Our stay was amazing! Host was super friendly, gave us a tour and said make yourselves at home. Was very helpful with transportation to and from cruise port, helped with a place for our vehicle for the week and was very responsive to any problem or concern! Breakfast was amazing and home cooked by the owners chef. The whole experience was wonderful and price was great :)

A wonderful stay from start to finish! We were so well looked after by Richard the owner. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and generous of his time spent with guests. The breakfast cooked from scratch each day by Logan was absolutely wonderful. We have never experienced service and hospitality like it! The location of the hotel is just perfect for visiting both the historic district and the seawall area. And to top it all off, Richard himself drove us to the port to join our cruise ship at the end of our 3 day stay. A wonderful first impression of Galveston hospitality - can't recommend The Lasker Inn highly enough!

I was met at this beautiful historic home by the owner, who was gracious and immediately made me feel like we were friends. He quickly set me up with my entrance code and walked me around the house, showing me everything that was available, including where I could store food and heat something up if needed. He then walked me to my room and made sure I knew how to use the key, explained the TV, gave me the internet information, and let me know when breakfast would be served. The house and decor are quite stunning! There was only me and another couple staying that night, so the house was very quiet. That was a nice pleasure for me. My room was LARGE and very comfortable. I slept well. The morning cook was there early and by 8:00 AM, breakfast was ready, and oh my, it was delicious. Pouched eggs, hand cut and I think pan fried potatoes, bacon, biscuits, frittata, and handmade apple muffins. Such a pleasant time relaxing and eating in this beautiful home.
