4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Germ

1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly months to visit Germ are May, October, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the area's historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to fully appreciate the rich heritage and stunning attractions, including skiing opportunities that offer great value for money. By planning your trip during these off-peak months, you might benefit from reduced costs, making it an affordable getaway.
2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you’re more likely to seize opportunities to save. The Smart Shopping tool, available in the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed decisions. By keeping an eye on your preferred hotels, you could be the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available for your spontaneous getaway.
3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at Germ hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised atmosphere and, on occasion, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest more affordable dates, which may help you secure a better deal.
4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive. However, with Germ's outstanding public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
