Beautiful hotel by lake Brienz. Easy to find as it is along the road. Really enjoyed our stay and wished we had 1 more night to soak in the view. Its stunning view of lake Brienz. The hotel is equipped with all necessities you need for a short stay. I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

I didn't like my experience at the Wildbach or getting to it. The hotel sent me 3 generic emails through the booking operator for check-in but never answered any of my messages. The location is terrible if you are without a car, a 35 minute walk from the train station. Seemed like there was one guy operating one taxi that cost 40 Francs for a 6 minute car ride, we had to wait 25 minute for him at 8:30pm. No hotel reception, the entrance was not obvious at night and the instructions to get to the key are not good. There was ONE shared toilet and shower, unless we missed a hidden one. No A/C so we wanted to keep the windows open and there was no window screen. Between getting there after 9pm and leaving by 7am, a train passed right above our room at least 3 times. The walls are paper thin and the floorboards creak loudly, you can hear every guest's moves. The room is basic and fine but the experience in it's entirety was just inconvenient. I don't believe the price is worth the location hassle and the shared bathroom situation.
