Fantastic Stay
We stayed five nights at a quadruple room and enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The living room was spacious and the kitchen most functional. We also liked the washer and dryer at the ground floor. There were three of each but always available when we needed them.
The location was great as it was close to the morning seafood market and Hakodate station yet quiet. The balcony has a nice view of mountains afar.
But the best part of the stay was the wonderful staff, especially Ms Nakasato who gave us excellent advice on restaurants and travel. Everyone was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of.
We would gladly return and recommend this wonderful place to friends.

Quiet clean and nice. Great staff, too.
Really lovely and spacious room--we chose one of the larger options. We loved that one bedroom had a divider from the living room, and the other had its own door. Our family of four felt like we weren't all jammed into a tiny space.
Also the height and balcony were nice for looking out on Hakodate.

Love the space and breakfast options!
Had a dilemma at the point of choosing accommodation in Hakodate and I'm so glad to have chosen Danshake. The space is great, with a separate living room/dining area, kitchenette and a bath tub big enough for 2. Love the breakfast options, which allows you to choose from 6 Japanese restaurants in Hakodate morning market next to it, or a western breakfast basket (like a picnic basket). Less than 5min walk from Hakodate train station, and 15min walk to the bay area.

Good location for touring and eating!
Well located hotel that is great for families as there are 2 rooms within the apartment hotel (opt for this when you are booking if you require 2 rooms and you can save money, instead of booking two twin rooms for example). Good amenities and reception was good as they could speak good English. The famous Hakodate morning fish market is just behind this hotel so for seafood lovers, this will be extremely convenient. You can also take a short 10-15 min walk to the famous red warehouse shopping area where many shops await you especially if you like Hokkaido desserts and pastries! There is a 7-11 just across the road in case you need to get any groceries. If you opt for the no-cleaning policy (to be more environmentally friendly, you room will only be cleaned on every 3rd day, they even give you a 500 yen voucher that you can use to purchase items from their souvenir corner. Parking is just next to the hotel so no issues with it and it is free. The famous historic district is also just a 20-min walk away and in the nice weather, walking is not an issue although when we were there, the temperature at mid-day was higher than normal (between 22-34 Celcius) but mornings and nights were cool. If you are driving, Mt Hakodate and the ropeway is just 5 min away as are many of the famous tourist spots and good restaurants.

Everything is great at this hotel
Everything about this hotel is impressive. Check in was smooth and very detail. Everything was explained clearly. If you do not need room cleaning service, there is an incentive of 500JPY to spend at the lobby convenience store. For breakfast, you can choose either English breakfast to be served in the comfort of your room or get a voucher to eat local cuisine at 6 restaurants in the Morning Market just beside the hotel. Hotel is within 5 min walk from the Hakodate JR station and neat to many site seeing places. Room is big, clean and has a great view. Each room has your own Wifi router, thus bandwidth is not shared with other guests. Overall, a very pleasant stay in this resort. Will definitely come back to this hotel if I go back to Hakodate.

Spacious apartment next to morning market
We love this hotel so much. It is near station and next to asa ichi morning market. Loved how we were able to check in earlier than 3pm. As there is small kitchen, you can actually buy fresh seafood from next door and cook it inside your apartment.
We also ordered their in room massage. It was one of the best massage we had
