Although not within close proximity to train station, which is what we'd have preferred, the hotel is just a short walk from a bus stop - there are two buses that can bring you there from the Miyako train station. Buses run regularly during the day - be sure to grab a bus schedule at the train station or the tourist information center situated right next door. Sightseeing bus depot or train for the coast starts from the train station. Hotel does not provide drinking water - buy your own from vending machines or boil it. Laundry machines available. Spacious eating area for breakfast (Japanese style). Overall kudos to staff for its efficiency (check in, taxi hailing) and cleanliness. This hotel was completely renovated in recent years and the exterior photo on the website doesn't do it's justice. BTW, this area was heavily affected in 2011 by the tsunami.

ルートインと聞いて街中かと思いきや、海沿いの外れだったのでちょっと残念。すぐに車走らせて買い込みをしてこもりました。建物は新しく部屋にシャワーはなく風呂は共同でしたがひろいので不満はありません。夜は静かでとても良かったです。風呂場もそうですが駐車場にも貴重品を置いとかないよう書かれており、復興の際にあちこちから来た作業の方のために作られた宿だと把握しました。

清潔なホテルです
新しく清潔度は良好。宮古駅からタクシーで15分ほどか。ただそのタクシーがなかなか無い。呼んで貰う状態。有料でもホテルシャトルバスがあったら有難いです。また、共同浴場仕様の部屋のせいか、室内に大洗面台奥の鏡が一枚のみで、眼鏡掛けてもよく見えず不便した。室内の何処か手が届く所か小さくても可動式の鏡が欲しい。

外観で不安になったが快適だった。
到着したとき古さを感じる外観だったので正直ホテル選びを失敗したと思った。しかし一歩入るときれいにリノベーション済みで連絡通路で奥にもう一棟あり大きなホテルだった。駐車場はホテルの敷地内にグルっとあるので心配なし。朝食もおいしかった。コンビニは車ですぐだが歩くと暗いし周りにはなにもない。湾のすぐ横の高い岸壁のそばで後ろはすぐ山。景色は全く望めないがそれ以外は二重丸。
