I stayed for two nights and on the first morning I left specific instructions at the front desk that I did not need my room cleaned, and to my surprise after I got back to my room on the evening of, the room was made up again. Ans it was clear to me that my combination lock on my weekender duffle bag had been tempered with. I left specific but random numbers on the lock before I left that morning and the numbers on the lock were of a different set when I went back that same evening. To this day I still have not gotten an explanation as to why my request to not have the room cleaned was not received. Also, there is not a decal/sign that can be hung outside the door to let staff know not to clean the room, like most hotels do have and provide, there at the Lin. It makes me wonder why that is?!
And to boot, even after the room was made up after I specifically requested for it not to be, I found loose black hair (not mine as I have colored hair) on the bed under the comforter and the bed sheet. The sofa's fabric is covered with small balls of lint also.
The front desk staff and bell hops working to receive guests are the only saving grace of this hotel, in my opinion. And the fact that it is located directly to the back of Tiger City, a more upscale "mall" that offers shops and eateries.
Would I choose to stay at the Lin hotel again? Maybe only if I have no other options. And guys, lock up your valuables before you leave your hotel rooms!
