This is my second stay since the last stay in 2017 (Modern Building). The hotel has made some upgrading to its rooms and is currently carrying out some upgrading to one of its floor in the Modern Building. For this trip, I stayed in the Historical Building. Generally, the stay is top notch for service, vibes and location (within the hiking trails). You have to pay for these and the good spread of breakfast and dinner buffet (Do consider you are at the top of a mountain). Did not disappoint me on this second trip.

Alishan Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the magical forest of Alishan. We enjoyed our stay at the property and the magnificent trees surrounding us. The staff was warm and helpful and were eager to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and well maintained facilities with a convenient location to the forest paths in the park made this an unforgettable trip for us.

The property is dated . But is is one of the only two accommodations in the park. The buffet dinner and breakfast has nothing to write home about. The shuttle bus only stops at the tourist information. The shuttle bus could have stopped at the train station but it would not. That makes people with luggage very difficult.

Alishan is a beautiful place to visit. With new train system starting 7/6//2024, people can take train directly from Jiayi to Alishan, it will be so much easier to travel up. The Alishan House has good location inside the park and provide shuttle services to bus stations (should be for future trains station too). But the hotel is too old. We stayed at the old section of the hotel though.

Beautiful and Convenient Hotel in Alishan
Alishan is an amazing area. The hotel was very, very nice. It was great that breakfast and dinner were provided since there are not a lot of choices within the recreation area itself. The hotel had walking trails directly across from it and views from the rooftop decks. They offered reservations, transportation, and wake up calls for us to take the Sunrise Train. Appreciate all of that.
