Nice historical multi-use building in need of repairs and updating. Rooms have suffered from shoddy repairs over the years. I’ll fitting doors. Shelves falling off walls. Ceiling caving in. Ants. Tiny light weight safe, not attached to anything! Reception does not answer phone. Light bulb went out and was never replaced. A/C died and had to change room. Rooms were not cleaned properly-had hair. dusty shelves and wardrobes. Broken toilet seat and cover. Nice bathroom sinks but plumbing underneath detached and water leaked all over floor. Eggs for breakfast EVERYDAY! It’s not a buffet, and you only get 2 slices of bread and slivers of fruit. Tables so small in dining room, I had to sit sideways. This could be a really great place with repairs, upgrades and attention to cleanliness and repairs in rooms. Basic and rustic accommodation could be nice. El Claustro has great potential but it needs more vision, repairs, upgrading and investment in the rooms, considering the numerous great alternative hotels. PLUS, I see that many people have complained about the same things, even mentioning specific rooms that I stayed in, but nothing was done.
