Take proof of payment to this hotel.
The hotel was fine for the price paid. Unfortunately the staff had no record that the payment for my room had been taken in July when I originally booked and wanted me to pay again. The receptionist also asked me to speak with the manager who told me that they did not take the money in advance. Luckily I had proof that the payment had been taken in July . I had to leave that issue with the receptionist so they could look into it overnight. The next morning the receptionist ( who was different) had no information about the situation and as far as she was concerned I had not paid. I persuaded her to let me leave but she said we have your credit card details. I raised this later with hotels. Com and asked for confirmation that the hotel accepted that they had my July payment and that they would not take any more more funds from my account. I have been told that I have not been double charged which to me does not seem quite the same thing. I found all of this rather stressful and annoying. I will be checking my account to see what has happened.
