The unit we stayed in had a beautiful view. There were some little things we found.. like one of the pillow cases was dirty, my son found a bowl of cereal under one of the beds from the previous renters.. it had been there so long we had to let it soak to get it clean.. there was also water damage in various places in the condo and it smelled musty. Also, there is no ice machine on the property if you need ice for your coolers.. We didn’t find the staff to be too friendly.. we were told at arrival all the pools stayed open until 10:00pm, however, one pool closed at 6:00 every evening.. the gym hours definitely do not fit with everyone’s schedules.. some people are used to doing early morning workouts and it didn’t open until 7:00am.. For the price we paid to stay there, there were just so many things that weren’t as described. The overall best thing was the private beach and the view from our room. Not sure if we would ever stay there again due to the lack of communication and the lack of friendliness from the staff.. I didn’t take pics of all the little things, but I did take a pic of the cereal bowl my son found under the bed from someone who had stayed there before us..

This hotel was really cool. Nice big room with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a balcony, full kitchen. I really like how there’s 3 pools, with one of them being half indoor half outdoor + a huge hot tub, outside bar (only downside is they close before 7), plus direct beach access. I’d definitely stay here for a trip again

The area rug in the livingroom had net been vacuumed in I don’t know how long so much sand came out of it. The floors and baseboards were filthy upon arrival. The toilet paper holder was on the floor in the bathroom instead of hanging on the wall. Each morning between 6-7 am we were woken by the metal garage door right outside our door where the house all the garbage for all the condo units (yes all you smell is hot garbage each time you leave the condo) then hear the garbage truck picking up and delivery a new dumpster each morning as the workers are throwing the stored garbage from the garage area into the newly delivered dumpster leaving garbage juice from the bags all over the ground to bake in the hot sun. Best part none of this was listed in the description of being near the garbage area! Otherwise wouldn’t have rented this condo! The top bunk couldn’t even use it was so close to the ceiling so our daughter had to sleep in the bed with my husband and I. The bathrooms don’t even have a soap dish for the bars of soap!

The Pelican Beach Resort in itself is a beautiful place with a fantastic location. The staff was very friendly and the areas in and around the resort were neat and clean. The room we stayed in however was not at all what I expected. To start off, when we got up to our room, the door was hanging wide open. We soon learned that's because it didn't stay shut unless you slammed it.The place was filthy. I took pictures because I could not believe the condition. The doors had caked on dirt, they clearly hadn't been washed in a VERY long time. The curtains had food/drinks spattered on them. The trim in the bathroom had paint spattered on them.
