Very disappointing not value for money
Stayed here for one night. We stayed in a standard room very basic no fridge, no bottled water, no dressing table or chair. Carpet wasn’t very clean and mattress uncomfortable. Corridors in need of a refresh carpets on stairs not clean. The dining area was much nicer very bright and modern. Breakfast was mediocre. The disabled access which had to be used on a night was not lit up, no signage, no rail on ramp. My brother who also stayed had a fall on the night when he fell over the wall resulting in a deep cut and swelling above his eye and bruising to his hip the disabled access area was pitch black! No one to report it to on the night reception closed. Reported next morning at breakfast the girl on reception was lovely she gave him an accident report form to fill. The issue with the lighting in this area needs to be addressed very dangerous. On returning home my brother had to have his injury checked at the hospital deep cup and a fracture under his sinuses this could have been avoided if the area had security lighting and a rail along the ramp.

The Coach House is a grade II listed building right next door and part of what was once a beautiful early 18 Century grand Country MansIon with extensive grounds and woodland estate. The House is still complete but not a single pane of the many windows is visible and mostly missing. Sadly, this detracts from the Coach House, which is well furnished, our bedroom was to a high standard and very comfortable with good easy to use shower with bath and usual facilities. It is run more on the lines of a B&B with limited services (no room service) but there are staff during the day to help. The limited staff were EXCELLENT. Nothing seemed too much trouble both the breakfasts and the evening meal we had were were also excellent and to our liking. The only critiscm I would make of the Coach House I would make is the exterior windows are in desperate need of repair. On the positive side, during our stay we learnt from a member that the adjacent dilapidated mansion had very recently been purchased and the new owner is planinig to convert it back into a domestic dwelling for himself. I assume that as the Coach House proeefits accumulate, I am sure they will make the exterior improvements required. We really enjoyed our stay and REFCOMEND A STAY

No direct transport, require own vehicle, a bit far from main road. The single bed is extra narrow. Restaurant and bar were closed on our visit, need to dine at restaurant in other hotel in the area

Staying to attend a friends wedding.
Liam who was the only person we saw throughout our two night stay was very helpful, but there were issues with the room - the door to the ensuite was difficult to open and close, the shower didn't drain away and the TV remote although working when we arrived was intermittent. The breakfast was definitely not worth £15 per head.

Wonderful stay
Lovely hotel run by a lovely couple. Room was nice. Bar and restaurant modern. The evening meal was delicious. I had chicken burger and my partner lamb. There was 5 of us and all our meals were lovely. The owner sorry I never got her name was friendly and extremely accommodating. There was other family there too as it was for a wedding. We had a really enjoyable stay. The breakfast was I have to say the nicest I’ve had to date. Full English. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The Inn was fine. Food was good and staff were very polite and helpful. Even though we are quite hardy, the room was cold. Made use of the blanket. Bed was very old, noisey and 2 mattresses put together! The pillows were also so old the filling had separated into clumps. It was clean but i wasnt going to look too carefully. Shower was hot but lacked umph. Plety of tea and coffee.

Staff were very helpful. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good. Limited choices at bar. Room was clean and small for a double room, and in need of some TLC.

8/10 Very good

Quiet setting, with interesting ruined old mansion house opposite. Nothing too much trouble for excellent staff. Excellent dinner and service. Room disappointing. Small, shower had problems (advised staff on leaving as we could cope with it), cobwebs. no chairs in room, no wifi and strangely lounge and bar closed after 9.00 approx. While we did enjoy our stay, we would not come back.

quirky small hotel - next door was a failed upmarket boutique hotel, behind was what looks like a collection of time share log cabins set in a nice patch of woodland with large pond. Property owners seem to be hedging their bets as to which venture will work ... The hotel itself was fine, limited (but really good!) tapas menu for dinner and standard cooked breakfast...
