Must go destination
Fort Lewis Lodge is just amazing. From the outstanding service to the relaxing atmosphere. I just wish we would’ve started our tradition of going there years ago. The food alone is amazing as are the people.

Had a great experience at the Fort Lewis Lodge. We relaxed on the pavilion and floated in a tube on the river. The food was fantastic and made from scratch by the staff a kitchen that is in full view of the dining room. Staff was very friendly and offered information on local attractions.

Fort Lewis Retreat!
Comfortable and cozy locale. The food was classic country fare. They did an impressive job with renovations/upgrades, and the staff was warm and welcoming.
Only con: the towels smelled a bit moldy, and we returned with inexplicable bumps/rashes from being outside (too much time in the river?).
We will definitely return, and we highly recommend the place.

Great location in the wilds of western Virginia.
Enjoyed a scenic and serene weekend at Ft Lewis. The staff was wonderful, the food fantastic. If you like hiking this is a great location. Other activities are available but we didn't have the time to try them, but everyone we talked to sounded very pleased with activities like fishing, biking, swimming, etc.

Welcoming Inn
Warm reception. Spectacular setting in the mountains along the Cowpasture River. Tasty fare at breakfast and dinner. Interesting fellow guests, most repeat customers. We'll be back.

Fantastisk sted. Lift for koldt på værelset om natten og ikke mulighed for selv at justere aircon.
