"This is a wonderful chateau. Our room was very comfortable and inviting. The views and the grounds are beautiful. My only negative comment is that the lighting in the bathroom is weak - a single light in the center of the room so no lighting over the sink. "

"Staff very helpful in ordering Pizza for us as restaurant not open Sundays. The only drawback was having to wait an hour for reception to open at 6.30pm"

"Really peaceful, lovely rooms and a warm welcome. Really good continental breakfast. There was even a kettle and decent teabags! This hotel is excellent value for money. Immaculately clean, lovely bathrooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable - modern rooms but in keeping with the traditional rustic building. The hotel has an honesty bar where you can get a beer (but not much else) although there's no drinks or facilities to make bake a drink in the rooms. The village itself is very quiet - nothing to do apart from go for a walk. The next village along, Brulon, had a few more restaurants/cafes. We ate in the restaurant next to the hotel - worth booking ahead as it didn't look like they did walk-ins. The hotel booked us a table the day before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again and wish we'd stayed more than one night - if you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful overnight stopover, this hotel is perfect."

"Superior room had air conditioning. Pool and spa superb. Restaurant excellent on Friday night. You do need a car as it’s 5km from a village. Lovely character buildings. Breakfast good "
