Really nice and clean property. The owners are really nice. We stayed 4 nights, it was really calm and we slept really well. The hotel is close to the city center, restaurants and supermarket. I definitely recommend The Coo’s Guest House! A lovely place.

8/10 Very good

Beauty place to stay, excellent location. Comfortable beds, excellent sized rooms. The only thing is rooms are not sound proof. We were right by the front door, so we heard everyone coming and going, bring ear plugs.

Very good hotel

We stayed for one night. The host was super friendly. The hotel is located very clise to the center so we checked out early and left the car in the hotel (the host was very nice on let us to leave the car) and we walked around the city center. We had a grest time
Cathy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This guest house has no staff on site but access easy using pin codes supplied. I had the single room which was adequate with comfortable bed and tiny en-suite. Some noise from other guests and the walls are thin but quiet overnight. I would prefer a hotel but these expensive in Inverness.

Excellent Stay

The stay was very good and the owners were excellent and sorted out my issue with parking. To enhance the stay further larger bathroom towels would be good a guide to how the television works and to sort out the small interference on the TV. These are very small problems for a very excellent facility which I will be using again.
Mark, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Netflix did not work and breakfast not available
Moira, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Long stair flight Spartan. Directions not accurate for opening door. Information on breakfast. Very small room. Toiletries not good.
Jack, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

The space was nicely accommodated and quick response time from the host. However, we were put on the first floor and could hear all the upstairs guest check out in the early morning as they came downstairs with their luggage and opened/closed the front door continuously. The shower also was hard to adjust to the right temperature.
Chloe, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Did not like or feel safe from a health and safety aspect of the guest house being unmanned . No personal service or welcoming hosts. Lazy business model. Seems no one in this world wants to connect with anyone anymore. Maybe the instagram lovers would like this hands off business.. I did not.
Nigel, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

This is in a very nice location. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. I would say this is a desirable place to stay. There are no staff on site, so electronic communication is very important. When we got there we could not find where we were told which room was ours. I tried calling, but my US phone would not complete the call. As the rooms all looked alike, we just guessed and took an upstairs room because it seemed the least convenient. The staff had a complete meltdown because we had chosen incorrectly. I offered an apology just to end the matter, but that seemed to generate more anger. Aside from all the hate mail, this was a good place to stay.
Hal, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was clean and very well put together. Everything you need. The reason for the less then perfect review is because of two issues. One major in our opinion and one frustrating and not sure what the property owner can do. First was the bed.I’ve sleep on floors more comfortable. The double/full bed was actually two smaller mattresses pushed together. The uneven gap between them made sleeping terrible and the mattresses themselves were NOT comfortable to begin with. We did contact them and they responded quickly saying they would check into it but whatever they did made no difference. A thick mattress topper MIGHT have solved the problem short term. Other issues was noise from seagulls that roost at night outside. Horribly noisy! NOT sweet little pigeon or songbird sounds but a shrieking loud “what the heck was that!!?”noise. Earplugs are a must. I don’t know what the owners can do (if anything) but it’s worth knowing before you book. Maybe they are only there this time of year?? Between those two issues we almost went to a hotel for our last night to get some sleep.
Sarah, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Overall, a good stay

The walls are very thin and you can hear everyone in the hallway. Sometimes, you can hear them in their rooms. I was unable to control the heat in my room and found that to be a bit annoying. But the room was clean and the owners were nice. The towels were thin and you couldn't check in early or store your bags anywhere until the 330 check-in. I liked that everything had a code. This was a nice stay, but could use a bit of care.
