We loved the old Hawaiian ambience and the friendliness, The free use ovv gf the lobby expressi machine between 9-11 am was a big plus. The location was great within 1/2 block from the major thoroughfare. The pool cafe and bar were great.

Retro Fun but be prepared...
It's Quirky & fun but...the hot tub has no jets but has a neat lottle waterfall feature. But again whats a hot tub eith no jets, the pool isnt heated at all...definetely not enough chairs by pool, bar is super cute but be prepared to drop a $20 for a drink. They have fun complementary slushies in the afternoon & coffee in the a.m. No elevator, so be prepared, they have 3 floors. Staff were very friendly. Completely affordable and just 2 blocks from the beach so you could walk tons of places! Decor is retro & fun if your into that vibe! Our balcony faced a wall to an apartment building so that super sucked so we didnt even sit out there and literally balconies were one of the reasons i booked the room.

The pool area is beautiful, a hideaway and nice area to relax. The room is worn, it is styled in a 60/70's vibe. The balcony overlooked some yards and its very close to the building next door. The bedding was worn and there were stains on the carpet... I asked for a later check out and the person was going to check but didnt get back to me.(It was only for 1/2 hour so not really a big deal). There is no elevator in the building but they offer to help you with your bags. Overall, not bad. The pool and pool bar are really cute. My daughter loved it.

Oasis in the City
We really enjoyed our room. My husband was in pain, and glad our room only had one flight of stairs. (2nd floor) The view was perfect; we had a "Pool View Room". With all the high-rise hotels packed side-by-side, it was nice to be in a 3-story with bamboo railings toward the pool. Seemed like a quaint oasis with the palm trees close enough for me to actually touch the leaves. ... There wasn't a bathtub in the room; it was a shower. (Small, but not a problem for either of us.) We did a lot of walking to catch buses, so my husband really needed a good long soak in Epsom salts. ❤️ ... Staff was always helpful and very friendly. Plenty of places to eat nearby. (If you have a Sam's Club card, you can get lunch really cheap!) Get a Holo card at 7-Eleven or ABC Stores, and ride the bus all day for $10. ... There's a street market on Duke's Lane (which is the south end of Nohinani St where the hotel is.) It's a block long. 5 blocks from the beach if walking. ... Bring your favorite tea bags, instant coffee or French press. There's no coffee pot in the room, but there is this amazing jet-boiler. For drinks or ramen cups or oatmeal. 😃 And they do have coffee and lattes (free) at the desk from 5 am to 11 am. and other refreshing beverages later on. .. Balcony was private enough to hang clothes over a chair to dry if I had to wash something. It rained during our stay, and the desk is outside, but I didn't melt, and I had taken an umbrella. .. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing stay and very comfortable. The staff are very attentive and always available. The bonus is that there is a bar and restaurant right in the middle of the hotel. It has amazing views. Such an amazing place !!!! We will stay again and again . A block or two away from the ocean . There is a speak easy attached with an amazing atmosphere and unreal homemade drinks and then down the street is a tiny little dive bar with pool tables and 6 dollar drinks . Pool and bar amazing . Property itself was clean and well maintained, however, on the morning of our checkout, we were inspecting the room a little closer to make sure we didn’t miss anything. When we looked under our beds, we found clothing and a medical bracelet from who I’m assuming was the previous guest. That did concern us to the level of cleaning our room had undergone before we checked in. The water pressure in the bathroom was also VERY low and tight space in the shower. We did bring this up to the employee at check out, but he did not appear concerned or apologetic for the issue of the clothing that we expressed. Other than that snafoo, the hotel was very walkable, staff were otherwise nice and helpful, and we used valet services for the duration of our stay. Valet was on the slower side in the morning - we would use the QR code to have our car called and ready, but it never was. We always had to find an employee to grab the car for us (again, we were never in a rush to go anywhere but it was not a big issue for us). I did like that the hotel was not directly on the Waikīkī strip. As a result, it wasn’t too loud at night. A lot of the big name hotels also had employees on strike so it was nice to not have to deal with that.
