I booked my stay through Hotels.com, paying for 6 adults and 3 children. However, upon arrival at the resort, I was informed that my reservation only covered 6 adults and 2 children. I showed the clerk my reservation, but he refused to review it, insisting that it didn’t matter because I booked through a third party. As a result, I was forced to pay an additional fee.
When I disputed the charge with Hotels.com, the resort told them I didn’t pay any extra fees and that my reservation remained unchanged, despite the fact that my credit card was charged. I even provided Hotels.com with the receipt the resort gave me, but no one was able to assist. Now, I’m contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge directly. I will never use a third-party booking site again.
