Cheap and simple hotel, but good standard
For the price paid (OK, it was a Black Friday deal with 30% off but anyway) it was a perfect price/quality ratio. The hotel is little older (it can be seen on the elevator, the bathroom and the toilet, for example), but the room we had was refurbished and more than adequate the price we paid. Quite small, but still OK, very silent (oriented to the backyards). The bathroom was older, but functional and the toilet sometimes smelled a little but had the perfect Japanese style toilet bowl, heated, with two water sprays etc.). There is a free shuttle every hour to/from Narita Airport. The hotel is within walking distance (15 minutes) to the center of Narita town with both railway stations for easy access to Tokyo. Also a shopping center is 5 minutes walking time, with several restaurants of all price ranges within 15 mnutes walk. All in all, we were very satisfied for this very cheap and adequate deal.

There was hair in the bathtub. They didn’t clean it properly. It was my first night at the hotel. Private bathroom and you can hear noise from the outside. The staff were really nice. There’s a place you can your your luggage. My bus to Narita was a couple hours of wait, they provided the bus. I had checked out. While waiting for the bus they let me to put my bag there, allowing me to go out and sightsee.

The property could definitely use some renovations and basic upgrades. The room was small and the bathroom felt like you’re in a camper. Guess you get what you pay. The staff was helpful and check in went smoothly. Check out was @11am but we were able to leave our luggage at storage while we went to explore the temple and park within walking distance and nice that we could buy some snacks at the small Family Mart downstairs. Bummer, we could not like use the free shuttle to Narita airport since they did not operate between 11am-2pm so had to pay for an Uber.

This was my third time staying at the Hedistar. Previous times, it was my last hotel before flying out, this time it was my first hotel after landing. I forgot that it's a bit of a walk from the JH station. There is the option of having an airport shuttle, but they run at limited times, and you need to know your specific arrival time (mine was later than planned). The best thing about this place is that it's a short walk from a MaxValu grocer so you can get food from there easily. The rooms are a bit run down (this is my opinion after being there three times), but they are clean. The breakfast buffet was good, and it's one reason why I always pick this place. That, and the price of course. I would stay here again, but only for 1 night either before or after my flight.

The staff were wonderful, however, the facility itself is a bit run down. The AC did not work half the time, even though we set it to ON the whole time and not automatic. It kept turning off and it was so hot and hard to sleep. From that alone ruined my experience because all I needed was a restful sleep.
