This was my second stay at this location. My room was adjacent to the basketball court. There were guests out there talking late into the evening which affected me trying to get to sleep. The room was fine, the location of the room wasn’t ideal for my stay.

Downhill
Long time customer, been staying at this particular hotel since it’s grand opening 8 years ago. Back then it was wonderful! Since then it has steadily been going downhill . Rooms are not as clean and are in disrepair . The kitchen utensils are poor. They cut down on the evening socials and the quality and quantity has gone way downhill. Sadly This will be my last stay.

Management issues
Checkin disappointing: Digital key did not work - had to go to the front desk and get a card key; despite requesting two extra pillows and towels in my Hotels.com booking AND sending a message to the hotel directly AND speaking earlier that day with the front desk, our room did not have an extra pillow or towels. The front desk clerk told me that they do not have any extra pillows (good grief! The king size bed only had two king pillows and two lumpy standard pillows) and he handed me some towels. I found an old blanket and a very gross old pillow (with no pillow case) in the closet. There was not a waste basket in the bathroom area. The breakfast buffet is rather blah and no one was around to help. On the upside, the building is nice, the shower in our room was great (excellent water pressure) and the hotel is fairly close to the Hamilton Train Station.

We were just there for one day and one night. Staff was great, nice comfortable room and great breakfast. My only complaint is that this is the year 2024 and they need to update their room TV's. They should have a Smart TV, which would give you more choices and to use your own streaming channels; Netflix, HBO, etc..

False fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night an hour apart. Try sleeping after that! No apologies and repeated attempts to reach a manager were fruitless. This is the WORST run hotel imaginable. In addition, the breakfast if you can call it that was disgusting. Try Marriott the next time.

This hotel is pretty tired and needs to get refreshed. The outlets by the bed didn’t work and the bathroom door squeaks so loudly that it woke me up in the middle of the night. I asked the front desk to get it lubricated but he couldn’t even get a can of WD-40 on a Saturday!

I love this property. I have had much better stays in the past though this was prior to covid. The house keeping did better service with cleaningvthe tub everyday and replacing all towels. I had to make requests for that this stay. I had a receptionist who wasnt that accommodating, but other that thatbthe other 2 male receptionist i dealt with made that subpar experience with her better. Will return again nevertheless.
