This is a beautiful property and a great spot for Arashiyama! Within walking distance to a lot of the main sights but still off the beaten track. Very cute and well designed. Most of the other guests were incredibly respectful and friendly, the host was phenomenal. Highly recommend KyoCafe down the road and the grilled meats/seafood stand past the bridge on the main tourist street (hard to miss but didn’t catch a name). Also, highly recommend an early start for the bamboo groves, parks and temples if you prefer less crowded times. We did have one night of noisy neighbors but that’s bound to happen from time to time. No other complaints though, very worth it.

Nice place in Arashiyama
Good wifi. It's pretty convenient to train and bus lines (the 28 City bus picks up across the street and the Hankyu train line is around the corner) and it's about 10 minutes from the bridge. Note: the breakfast is served at a cafe around the corner, but only from 9-11, so you may need to schedule your day accordingly (or don't sign up for breakfast and plan on eating elsewhere). A lot of restaurants in Arashiyama close pretty early (the izakaya next door stays open for normal dinner hours, but the highly recommended sushi place closes at 5 pm). Clean rooms. Front desk is open for check-in until 9pm, but then you get a code for the front door and for your room.

Friendly owner and a thoughtful place
The owner is a young couple, who are very welcoming and social. They have a nice common area for people to socialize. The entire facility is a year old and very clean. It was very refreshing to stay there, and I would love to be back again.

Nice place to stay for visiting Arashiyama
The place is nice and yes staffs of this hostel are really friendly and helpful. The place is few minutes walk from the famous place of Arashiyama and train station. It really convenience for traveler if you would like to change a place to stay from place to place because from this hotel you can walk just 1-2 mins to bus station and not more than 5 mins to Train Station.
