The hotel itself is beautiful with a fantastic pool and hot tub area in a peaceful setting. The convenience of bringing a dog was great! However, if you have a large vehicle, you will have to park at the bottom of a large hill and either take the bus up or walk. For some reason, the hotel doesn’t monitor the parking spots in front of the hotel where there is drop off. So when you arrive or depart, all the spots are taken and you have to park further away in a no parking zone. This isn’t bad, unless it’s pouring rain, which is was for us. Also, they allowed certain guests to park full time in the 10-min loading area all day and night while others are told to walk up and down a large, long hillside, scrambling for the few parking spots on the hill, competing with other vehicles from other hotels. It was a bizarre and frustrating situation because our Tahoe didn’t fit in their parking from overhead. I spoke to management and front desk numerous times as I was traveling with a pet and 3 kids, walking up the hill in pouring rain and pitch black at night. They blamed the city, the city said it was the hotel’s responsibility. The same 3 vehicles from out of province sat in 10-minute loading zones for 2 full days. Poor customer service from the front desk &management on this issue.
