Do not book this resort if you’re looking to be in Montego Bay. The resort does not offer free shuttles, as other resorts would. Pro- I liked our original room, rooms are nice. Resort is beautiful. There are activities and plenty of things to do. Some buffets was good. Cons- bad customer service. Before we even arrived at this resort you couldn’t even get someone to answer the phone. No shuttles. Too far from everything. Not enough staff. Have very little towels and only one wash cloth for the entire duration. Was over charged after left resort. Food was cold, or luke warm, and not only at buffets. They’ll say you don’t need reservations, however I suggest you make reservations to this resort, as the first night we was turned away a few times.

Drawback to the resort
Beach was nice but due to rock reef it was extremely difficult to get into the water. Pool was not lighted in the night providing beautiful ambiance to the surroundings. Reservations and towel check out was done via spiral notebook recording.

Every year, my family and I travel home to Jamaica to spend Christmas. Christmas for us is bitter sweet. As our dad passed away on Christmas day a few years ago and it's also my sister's birthday. We've been trying to get back to finding Joy during this season and I can say this year might be the closest we come in a while; in large because of the staff at Ocean Eden Bay and Coral Ocean Springs. Employees such as Chrischelle always great me with a smile, and addressed my mom by her name and hugged my sister when I mentioned it was her birthday soon. Then Odane and Ricardo, that went beyond any butler I've experienced. My sister has a heightened sense of smell and was in a building that also housed the Privilege restaurant. Odane and Richardo worked as a team and moved my sister, then they cordinated the room to be decorated for her birthday and brought her champagne. These young men showed poise, respect, and kindness and had a sense of ownership for our vacation. The outstanding service did not stop there, the service people on the beach, Andre from privillege, Alice and Swabian, the housekeepers were respectful of space but there like ninjas when you needed them. To have this type of service team, in my mind, can only be from outstanding management. I had the opportunity to observe Carlos and the way he interacts with the staff was nothing short of pure leadership, and the way he interacted with the guest was superb, you felt like you're the only guest at that moment.

The resort was great. People are kind and super helpful. Food was okay. I preferred certain restaurants over others. Very limited drinks. Service was better at certain times of the day. The privilege experience isn’t worth the price and experience could be relatable to a regular room. Overall I enjoyed my stay, but wanted more out of the services I paid for and the food and drinks that were available to me.

Pros I met a few friendly staff members Dean, Jordan, Brittany, Richard Tricia who tried the best they could to make my experience and birthday pleasant. Taxi drivers will stay with you until you need to return to your hotel or destination. Cons My friend card was charged over $24k at jewelry store house of diamond because they ran the card over 7x and we had to extend our trip only to find out that the shops are third party and the hotel charged us to extend his stay by staying in another friend room, also cell phone charger was stolen out the wall by housekeeping and even though loss prevention found it never returned it and had to purchase another one. Also to go into Montego Bay for any activity will cost you over $200 US dollars roundtrip for even the airport hotel rates are $60 one way. So if you plan on leaving the property to shop etc plan on over $1k in transportation fees. Also my power was out for 3 hrs the first day had to also get maintenance to get me a bath tub stopper for my tub and went out again because they have everything on one circuit. I never got my birthday banner on my door as I went down several times to ask
