The hotel is situated in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, located just around the corner from the University of Amsterdam Business School and about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. The rooms are reasonable size, have an en suite, television, desk, safe, wardrobe etc. We were on the third floor and had a sloped roof above the bed, which was weird but worked. Breakfast is good, with hot and cold options, consisting of eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereals, pastries, cheeses, fruit and more. The apple cake is very good! There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel, along with a nearby zoo and supermarkets. My only gripe about this place is that our mattress sank in the middle and made for an uncomfortable sleep. I hope they change that out.

Comfy and good location
Really loved the location! Kinda easy to get everywhere by tram or on foot. The room was fine although we felt it could’ve had a few more hooks for towels. Also, when we got there there was a funny smell in the room which luckily disappeared after keeping the window open during our stay. Generally clean, although there were a bunch of dead mosquitoes on the window sill inside they weren’t cleaned away. Would recommend it and stay here again though.

Inaccurate room photos
The pictures shown for room types were a very far cry from what was available. This hotel is extremely dark in the rooms, particularly with small windows. I booked what I understood to be the best room available and truly felt like I was staying in an attic.

The hotel is recently renovated, bathroom was spotless and we were thankful for air conditioning in the room (it was a warm day in August). Location can’t be beat. Would definitely stay there again.

Family of four with a quad room. We arrived very early in the morning and they informed us we could check in a round 11:00. They stored our luggage and we went for a walk around Amsterdam. We came back after a few hours and the day staff had started working, who informed us check in would be later in the day. The hotel was completely booked so they had to wait for someone to check out and the room to be cleaned. They let us go down to the bar, which was closed, to get some rest. At this point we hadn’t slept for over 24 hrs. When the room was ready they gave us the keys and set up daily maid service for us. Our room was on the 4th floor in the corner. It was a queen size bed and two twin beds pushed together. The beds took up most of the room, but it worked great for us. The room and bathroom were clean. The shower had gray hot water pressure and hot! The only thing I did not notice when booking is that it did not have air conditioning. The weather is not that hot though, so with the windows open and the fans on, it was comfortable. The location was very convenient with a tram stop one block up. Great breakfast cafes right on the same block. I would stay there again.

First I had a small room with a small window because of the west side of the Building and when I talk to the staff he said I need to talk to the GM. when I talk to her she was so nice and give me a new room on the east side and was a blessing. she also did give me a free breakfast as a compliment and a drink.

Great location but with constant smoking outside
The hotel was lovely and in a very nice location in the city, especially with kids. Only downside was that since there is no air conditioning, you must have your windows open to help keep it cool. That would be fine except that our window was right above the front entrance and there were constantly people out there smoking cigarettes/weed etc. and therefore it constantly came right in our window. Otherwise the room was very spacious for 4 people and the pull out bed was large for the two kids but the beds were overall a little on the hard side.

Clean, stylish, just outside of the city
The room was stylish and clean. We had a basement room, with a small window that looked onto a wall, so the room was dark, but it fitted in with the theme of the room. It was about 20mins walk to the main square. It says there's parking at the hotel, but upu can park on the street for €65 per day or in the Zoo car park, which was about 5mins walk for ~€25 per day. There wasn't an iron in the room and there wasn't one available either. Overall, a very nice stay.

When booking , I thought the pictures were good and it was going to be fine . The hotel service is good but the rooms are very hot . We had to ask for an extra fan, leave our door open when getting ready and even tried turning on cold shower water to cool down the room. They also do not clean the rooms well and you will be woken up by cars and such . We were here 3 nights. It was fine but I wouldn’t stay here again .
