The actual hotel was beautiful. The room was really clean w/ a comfortable bed. The pool was also clean & warm. Complimentary breakfast was great!
The only issue was the extra charges that were placed on my card that didn't make sense. I checked in w/ Lee. He found my reservation in the system which was through Expedia by way of Hotels.com. It was already paid in full at the time of booking. He asked for my card which I figured was for the $20 deposit for incidental fees. I get notifications whenever my card is charged & after all was said & done, there was a charge from Hotels.com of course, & then there were pending charges from Fairfield directly for $110 along w/ the $20 incidental charge, $20.89, & $100. I have no idea what Lee did that resulted in all of these pending charges & needed them explained to me as the room was left perfectly fine. With the help of Ms Sandreka Jackson who immediately got on the phone w/ the general mgr Jenn, the charges were corrected. Ultimately, I was only charged for the amount from Hotels.com. I'm not sure if Lee knows how it works when you book online through a 3rd party but charging the card again after seeing it in the system through Hotels.com was very frustrating. If I were to book at this hotel again, I would personally call up the hotel & only deal w/ Miss Jackson who had awesome customer service & worked tirelessly on a Sunday morning to ensure I was only charged for what I owed. This young lady deserves a management title!
