Sarah Hotel
"It is a pleasant hotel convenient to the ferry terminal and to local restaurants and shopping."
Holiday Inn Ipswich by IHG
"Always a clean room. Friendly front of house. Cant fault you guys."
The Essex Golf and Country Club
"Good price and nice breakfast with cooked to order options. Lovely to have a hotel with a full gym and swimming pool. Location is a little odd as it's on an old airfield I believe which is now an industrial estate. Part of the grounds is a golf club but there are limited areas which are available there to walk or run meaning I ended up having to use a treadmill for my morning run instead of running outside. Seems a shame to not make the golf course more multi use and either push people into running like a hamster or onto roads shared with trucks. The swimming pool is a lovely addition but very strange. In the women's changing, you lock your locker with your room card. Great! But then where do you put it? I ended up doing a couple of lengths with it in my hand but it felt a bit strange. I would have used the facilities more if it was all a bit more thought through. That said, nice place, just needs a bit more joined up thinking to make it a great place."
Orwell Hotel
"Have stayed before. Staff always great. Older building but I find it clean and I enjoy the older style"
B&B HOTEL Ipswich
"Low cost done well. Clean, efficient, friendly staff. Actually a half decent buffet breakfast. Simple but good quality. Much like the rest of the hotel."
The Aviator, formerly Smugglers Cove, Clacton On Sea by Marston's Inns
"Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
"We had a wonderful stay at the Delta Marriott while visiting the area for a family birthday! Since it was an unusually hot day, walking into a crisp, perfectly air-conditioned room was a huge relief. Our room was very spacious for our family of four, with comfortable beds, quality linens, excellent room amenities, and a nice, clean bathroom. The kids loved the pool, which is conveniently located in its own separate area. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of variety to keep everyone happy, and the staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, a fantastic experience—we’d definitely stay here again!"
Wivenhoe House Hotel
"Lovely rooms. Very well maintained"
Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel
"Lovely atmosphere when going in and the staff were very polite and friendly"

- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having flexibility with your travel dates could help you find better rates for your stay in a Harwich hotel. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might help you find a more favourable option.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also explore independent hotels situated further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
