This was no where near a 4* hotel as advertised. No water or tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, cheap toiletries, very tired room with multiple scuff marks on the walls and missing tiling in the bathroom, and only lukewarm water in the shower. The free breakfast was very disappointing, with cured meats clearly out of date, and yogurts which were out of date from a week earlier. We arrived at 9.30am (breakfast was advertised as finishing at 10am) to find most of the food had already gone and were told it was not going to be replenished. The only saving grace was that the bedding and bathroom were very clean.

Was upgraded to a double when checking in, but the room was decorated totally in a depressing grey and looked tired. The Banksy-style wall art was seriously menacing for a woman travelling alone! Asked for a corkscrew as the bar didn’t seem to be manned at any time, but there was none available, and when I asked where I could get coffee (no facilities in room) concierge waved his arms towards the door saying that there weren’t plenty of coffee shops in the locale - unhelpful. On the bright side, breakfast at an adjoining building was plentiful with scrambled eggs, bacon bits, mini croissants and cake.

This is a very basic 4 star hotel about 20 minutes walk from Torino Porta Nuova station. The personel are very nice and hospitable, but the bedrooms and bathrooms need investment as they're old. In our room, the handle was coming off the window and the electrical socket was coming out of the wall. When you turned on the bathroom light, it made a loud noise. The shower head needs to be cleaned very well or better yet replaced. The breakfast was average and could be upgraded a bit with a minimum of effort. That said, the people are nice and if you book a few months before you can get a good price. That said,

The room assigned had a loud noisy leaky toilet. Such a malfunction is very disturbing and should have been noted by the staff. This room should not have been available for occupancy. Furthermore, my complaint was not addressed. I checked-in at a very late hour when looking for another room at a different hotel would not be a sensible choice, while the courtesy by the staff to change to a different room should have been. However, even upon inspection and seeing that this toilet was malfunctioning with noise that was clearly audible even with the door to the bathroom closed, the staff did not offer a solution. Instead, I was told there was no other room available. This is not the high season. I have my reservations upon there not being another room available, albeit one with an occupancy for more than one person. At this time it was past midnight, and I was left with no choice but to stay in this room, despite all. A few minutes into settling in, I tried using the lamp next to the bed, to find it did not work. Furthermore, no channels on the tv were in service. I was told, the cable service was in maintenance. This should have been informed upon check-in, as this is a commonplace amenity. This was my hotel of choice in Turin since 2008, and I always looked forward to staying here, but this complete lack of hospitality, poor maintenance and a very wrong attitude towards the customer by the staff, is not tolerable. I will never book here again.

The worst I've ever had in my life. An unclean room. A bed they slept in and the sheets weren't changed. A shower and toilet that smelled of sewage. Air conditioning and heating that didn't work. And worst of all, a staff that wasn't willing to help and didn't care about anything.

The place needs maintenance, the air conditioning in our room was not functioning, hot water not available for one day and other small things such as few water coming out of the shower. The personnel, on the other hand, especially Domenico and his colleague at breakfast, are great and compensate in good for the lack of investment.
