Yes, it is an rather „retro“ Hotel and so the sofa is a bit aged. So don‘t expect brand new furnishing/facillities. But it has it‘s charm and is a reminder of the former GDR. The staff is very friedly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious and offers many variations (also vegan milk and breadspread options) and lots of fresh fruit. The pool costs extra but was in good condotion. The whole family enjoyed the slides and the waves. Only the strikt non-smoking policy did not work and people unfortunately smoked on the balkony. The staff was very apologetic about it and tried to solve the problem immediately but could not find pur all smokers. Overall we experienced good value for our money and would definetely book again. An absolute plus: the view is incredible!

In short: one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Worst of all is the customer service. There was only one person at reception who spoke poor English. All the rest of the staff speak only German, all information and signs are in German. When checking in, we did not receive any information about amenities, facilities, absolutely nothing. Also, everyone is EXTREMELY unfriendly, almost rude. Even if there is absolutely no prior information, when you arrive at the hotel they charge for absolutely everything as an extra. To access the pool area, EUR 8 per person for 2 hours. The pool area is old and seedy (as is the entire hotel). The area is not suitable for small children as it is extremely cold and the water was "heated" to only 29 degrees! So we couldn't use the pool, but we still had to pay to stay 15 minutes in this horrible area. The room is extremely old, everything has strong signs of wear and tear. The rug was dirty, as was the couch. The bathroom is small and horrible, low pressure shower, tiny shower box and plastic curtains. In the kitchen there was only 1 pan (which was giant) and that was it! Impossible to use even to heat baby food. There are no microwaves or "normal" cups (only really mini ones). No accessories for cooking basically, not suitable for more than 1 night. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. The parking lot is far away so it is not convenient if it is cold, raining or snowing.

Es war schön aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen
Es waren ein paar erholsame Tage. Die Zimmer waren sauber aber die ein oder anderen Möbel zb die Couch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Duschvorhang ist ungewohnt und erinnert an die 80er Jahre zurück . Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Das Schwimmbad war für uns alle sehr angenehm und ein schöner Tagesausklang. Aber auch hier ist schon einiges in die Jahre gekommen. Zb abgebrochene Steine, oder vereinzelt abgeblätterte Farbe und sichtbare Rostflecke sowie Stockflecke in der großen Röhrenrutsche. Bitte nachbessern, dann kommen wir auch wieder..

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage für Ausflüge. Das Erlebnisbad war toll für die Kinder (aber teuer mit 34€ für 2 Stunden) und insgesamt ist es sehr ruhig im Hotel. Toll ist auch der Brötchenservice, wenn auch sehr teuer mit 7€ für 6 Brötchen und leider nicht am Sonntag verfügbar. Wir hatten ein 1,5 Zimmer Apartment (Zummer 1801). Die Küche sah sehr neuwertig aus und war gepflegt. Das war es dann aber schon. Das Apartment war leider nicht sauber. In die Ecken darf man nicht gucken. Duschvorhang ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß und eklig. Das Mobiliar ist komplett abgewohnt. Der Teppich übersät mit Flecken. Das Schlafsofa war hart wie ein Brett. Da hätte man auch auf dem Boden schlafen können. Getoppt wurde alles von dem separaten Schlafzimmer OHNE Fenster und OHNE Heizung. Bei -3 Grad Außentemperatur war es eisig kalt im Zimmer. Wir haben mit 2 Paar Hosen, Socken, Pullover und Skiuntetwäsche geschlafen, damit es einigermaßen warm wurde. An der Rezeption wurde darauf nur mit einem "Das ist ja nicht schön" reagiert. Natürlich war das Zimmer nur mit dünnen Decken ausgestattet. Dikere konnten uns nicht zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Alles in allem: nie wieder IFA!

Wunderschöne Gegend, große Auswahl an Essen, Badebenutzung sehr gut.Einfach fantastisch. Das einzige was uns nicht so gut tat,waren die Schlafmöglichkeiten. Die waren sehr hart. Hatten jeden Morgen Rückenschmerzen.
