Boulder Bay
Boulder Bay gives you front-row seats to Big Bear Lake's serene mountain magic without the tourist buzz. Launch your kayak right from your cabin's private dock, or follow forest trails that start at your doorstep. When winter arrives, you're just minutes from snowshoeing adventures and the main ski resorts. The area offers charming holiday rentals with cosy fireplaces and lake views instead of hotels. Most visitors bring groceries from town since local dining options are limited. A car is essential for exploring, as this quiet residential pocket sits away from the commercial hub of Big Bear Village.

Fox Farm
Fox Farm offers a tranquil escape from Big Bear Lake's tourist buzz, nestled among fragrant pines and mountain vistas. This quiet residential haven features charming cabin-style homes perfect for travellers craving authentic mountain living. Take a peaceful walk through uncrowded streets before venturing to nearby Snow Summit or exploring the Alpine Pedal Path Trail. Holiday rental cabins dominate the accommodation scene, many boasting cosy fireplaces and rustic-modern charm. While you'll need a car to access dining options in Big Bear Village, the peaceful seclusion and starry nights make the short drive worthwhile.

Moonridge
Moonridge delivers all the magic of mountain living with ski slopes right in your backyard. Bear Mountain Ski Resort anchors this alpine retreat, where pine-scented trails and wildlife viewing opportunities await year-round. The Big Bear Alpine Zoo offers up-close encounters with rescued mountain animals against a backdrop of towering ponderosa pines and spectacular lake views. Cosy cabin eateries and lodge restaurants serve hearty comfort food perfect after a day outdoors. Mountain cabins and resort lodges dominate the accommodation scene, most featuring fireplaces and hot tubs. A personal vehicle is essential for exploring this spread-out community, as the mountainous terrain limits walkability beyond resort areas.

Big Bear Central
Big Bear Central combines refreshing mountain air with year-round outdoor thrills centred around its shimmering alpine lake. The Village area buzzes with outdoor gear shops and cosy spots while the lake itself attracts boaters, kayakers, and fishing enthusiasts. Pine-scented trails wind through forests with snow-capped peaks creating perfect backdrops for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. Mountain comfort food dominates the dining scene with hearty fare at cafes and lakeside restaurants. Accommodation options range from rustic cabins with fireplaces to lakefront resorts. While the village core is walkable, most visitors rely on personal vehicles to explore this scenic mountain playground.

The Village
The Village brings Big Bear Lake's mountain magic to life with shops tucked into rustic log cabins and restaurants spilling onto wooden lakeside decks. Pine-scented air follows you from artisan galleries to cobblestone paths where visitors shop for local crafts and mountain photography. Nearby trails lead adventurers into the surrounding wilderness while seasonal activities shift from summer boating to winter skiing. Dining ranges from casual lakefront eateries to upscale lodges serving hearty mountain comfort food. Cosy cabins and rustic lodges offer pine furnishings and fireplaces, with many properties including breakfast and recreation equipment. The compact village centre is easily walkable, though a car is recommended for exploring beyond the charming 4-5 block core.

The Village buzzes with après-ski energy and small-town charm year-round. Hike pine-scented trails through San Bernardino National Forest, keeping eyes peeled for bald eagles and black bears. Pine Knot Marina offers boat rentals for lazy lake days, while Meadow Park provides perfect picnic spots. Big Bear Frontier

N+P Boutique Lodge
"Enjoyed our stay, lovely spacious cabin with everything you need for a perfect weekend getaway."
Big Bear Lakefront Lodge
"This hotel is a little Hidden Gem. If you get a Lakeview balcony you are in for a treat. The balconies look directly out and on to the private Little Beach area and boat dock directly behind the hotel it is Lakefront property. If you get a garden View you can watch the birds and the squirrels interact throughout the trees and garden area. There are fireplaces in the room, ping pong table, chairs on the out side deck patios and grills and tables on the private Beach area. The staff at the front office was absolutely charming and so very helpful! There is a very simple grab and go breakfast in the morning in the office which consists of coffee, granola bars, oatmeal, apples and things of that nature that you can just literally grab stick in your pocket or start munching on as you head out to the lake or back to your room. There are fireplaces in the room but we did not turn hours on since we visited in September and it wasn't quite that chilly. Dogs are welcomed for a fee unless they are a service animal in which case they are no cost. The beds were comfortable and the shower was very nice, especially having the option to have the heat turned on in the bathroom. That will be especially nice in the snowy months. The water pressure was a little bit low but that is just being nitpicky. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again."
Hotel Marina Riviera
"Returning visitors. Can’t beat the location. All rooms facing the lake is also a big plus. Great staff and excellent amenities, including a huge deck connecting restaurant to bar and lounging area with stunning views on the lake, a pool that is very well maintained, hot tub, sauna, ice bath and even bike rentals. Across the street is the entrance to the village. A gem of a place in Big Bear. Let’s all keep this resort as pristine as they’ve made it."
Hampton Inn Big Bear Lake
"My second stay here, and it will be my place to stay everytime I am in Big Bear! Because it is close to Snow Summit and close to most if not all the major areas of Big Bear Lake too. I love the Hotel Vibes of Hampton Inn, because it's consistently always clean and welcoming. Parking is safe and secure with staff that are always friendly especially at this location. I've been going to Big Bear for 30 plus years, and as I get older, I prefer to stay at a Great Hotel with amenities that fit my lifestyle and use. I'm always in Big Bear mostly for the Snow Summit Bike Park season every year, and occasionally some hiking or 4 wheeling.. But from now on, I plan to stay here at this Hampton Inn for many more years and visits. I stayed again here for the weekend and the Beds are so comfortable and clean. Rooms are clean with updated Smart TV's, Microwaves and Fridges! Clean Bathrooms with modern styling that makes it easy and comfortable to stay. Staff are friendly and kind! Very helpful and knowledgeable too! Breakfast is super good too!!! Can't go wrong here! Thank you Hampton Inn Big Bear!"
Home2 Suites By Hilton Big Bear Lake
"Look to further to stay in Big Bear! The staff is super nice. The rooms are very clean along with the overall grounds. Also, breakfast is included! Parking is super easy to get to and in and out is no problem."
