Dust off those cowboy boots for Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world's largest outdoor rodeo where genuine Western culture isn't just history but daily life. The Wyoming State Museum and Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum tell tales of frontier life without sugar-coating the challenges. Downtown's wooden pavements lead past saloons where locals still debate cattle prices over cold beers. The Wyoming State Capitol and Historic Governors' Mansion offer glimpses into political life on the frontier. Between rodeo events, browse Frontier Mall or catch live music where performers don't just sing about cowboys—they are cowboys. The Nelson Museum and Cowgirls of the West Museum celebrate often-overlooked frontier women who were just as tough as the men.

My Place Hotel - Cheyenne, WY
"It’s seems to be quite new so everything's clean and shiny. I loved having an ice maker in the room. The fridge was full sized and there was a small kitchenette though I have no idea how you would actually cook as there were no dishes, utensils or cooking equipment. The cupboards were bare. The beds were good, though the polyester comforter made me sweat. It was hard to keep the room at a cool enough temperature because when it was at the set temp it would stop and then the room immediately warmed up. They desperately need a ceiling fan to keep the air moving. The ac was pretty noisy too. The room was small but adequate for our needs. The location was near railroad tracks and the trains are frequent in Cheyenne and we could definitely hear a rumble as the train went by. Also we could hear people walking around on the next floor during the night. The sound proofing was not that good. The parking was good and the elevator was very much needed. Overall I would say this motel is a decent place to stay and we will probably return."
Comfort Inn & Suites
"We loved staying here. I am temporarily disabled so we had an accessible room. The bathroom was plenty big enough. The bench in the shower was great as well as the detached shower head. Breakfast was great and not just limited to quick grab and go things. There was not freezer i. Our fridge but the staff was happy to put my ice packs in a freezer up front for me. We will definitely stay at a comfort inn suites again!"
Tru by Hilton Cheyenne WY
"The hotel was nice, room was clean. However, the mattress on the bed was terrible. It was like sleeping on a sloped hill. Very hard to get a decent nice rest on a mattress that desperately needs to be replaced with one to allow guests to get good rest,"
Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center Cheyenne
"The new part of the hotel was remodeled, and the air conditioning was cold. The bathroom tub had skipped the remodel and could use a good scrub and work."
Comfort Suites Cheyenne
"The breakfast was excellent."
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cheyenne
"Clean, spacious room and breakfast appreciated."
Best Western Plus Frontier Inn
"The front staff were excellent - shout out to Karen and Lea. Being given bottled water at check in was great. The breakfast was good with hard working staff trying to keep the food supplied with a busload of hungry teenagers."
Little America Cheyenne
"Conveniently located, this is a resort hotel with a golf course. Nice rooms, spacious with balconies. Food options narrow, given the number of guests at any one time. But overall, recommended."
Super 8 by Wyndham Cheyenne WY
"Nice"
