Posto vicino al centro della cittadina, il palazzo si presenta un po’ fatiscente, a differenza dell’interno che è stato accogliente così come il suo gestore. Soggiorno molto piacevole.

Best Kept Secret
If you love an authentic medieval B&B,this is the place to be! Lying in bed we looked up at the original 500 year old ceiling and the lounge room had remnants of fresco still on on the walls. Our breakfast was beyond expectations. It was laid out beautifully and we couldn’t eat it all. Our hosts were so obliging too Orvieto was the best hidden secret in Italy if you are looking for a non commercial medieval town to stay in. We wish we had stayed more nights. Will definitely come back here all the way from Australia. We just loved B&B Sant’Andrea

Un ottimo soggiorno
Il B&B è in un palazzo del '500, a pochi metri dal centro storico ma con il pregio di essere anche raggiungibile con l'auto (è fuori dalla ztl) perlomeno per scaricare i bagagli (Orvieto ha poi dei comodi parcheggi esterni al centro con ascensori, tapis roulant, scale mobili per raggiungere la zona del B&B). La camera sembra davvero un ritorno al Rinascimento ma con l'aggiunta di tutti i comfort, per non parlare della cortesia del proprietario che ha fatto di tutto per metterci a nostro agio (grazie delle brioche fresche!). Insomma merita un giudizio alto.

Karakteristieke sfeervolle B&B, midden in het centrum van Orvieto. Prima italiaans ontbijt. Badkamer is functioneel. Douche is in het bad met een douchegordijn. Eén handdoek rook niet fris.

OK, but could be better
Although the BnB is conveniently located, the location was not clear. In spite of making an inquiry via email in advance, we didn't get clear directions to the location from the bus stop. When we found the place, it was unattended, with a phone number posted. We don't travel with a mobile phone! Finally, the barista at the Blue Bar kindly contacted the owner/attendant. She was very nice, picked us up, walked with us to the bnb and showed us the room. The old-fashioned keys didn't work at first, but she straightened that out (after 15 minutes of trying), showed us how breakfast worked, then disappeared. We never saw her again. The breakfast consisted of pre-packaged pastry and coffee in thermos. Orvieto, on the other hand, is great!
