Checked in on Wednesday afternoon, had room service and then breakfast next morning and that’s when it happened. Upset stomach and cramps. Looked around the room and found mould on chopping board, in the fridge, dirty dishes no cleaning supplies as was stated in the room description. Looked like room hadn’t had a thorough clean in weeks. I do food safety audits so do actually have some idea. Luckily had a mall next to the hotel so got the food from there. Finally checked out on Sunday from leela and checked into Taj. Never in all these years have had this sort of experience. Staff was lovely and as had seen a fellow in suit shouting at the staff cleaning the room on Thursday morning so didn’t even bother complaining about the state of the room. Took medication and got well enough to leave. Now I will most likely get a standard format reply in response as a tickbox experience from the hotel. I don’t need that. My holiday got ruined thanks to the food safety standards and cleanliness at this hotel. Genuinely travel to India every year however don’t think I’ll be staying with this chain. Oh and please take the posters off for the orders that ended in June, we are in September. Just saying to the management at least walk your hotel and majority of problems can be fixed. But what do I know as only have over 23 years of hospitality management experience. Please don’t insult my intelligence by comments like we take feedback seriously and aim to deliver highest level of service etc.
