First off, I would like to mention that I booked this hotel through hotels.com for 2 days including the new year gala dinner. However, the hotel did not honor that booking, and after extensive negotiation, I was asked to pay extra for the stay. The stay was pleasant otherwise but the NY gala dinner and event was subpar. The hotel does not provide accommodation for drivers but instead provides food. Overall service was good and breakfast was decent.

Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a more economical stay in a Dalhousie hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could potentially offer a more attractive rate.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to major attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often comes with increased costs. For more reasonably priced options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sights you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
